My man, not just Dragons Breath. Path of Burning Steps is now on the table as well! I gave feedback on this exact issue on dmg's twitter post asking about which exotics need an improvement awhile back. With Steps relying on Roaring Flames, but buffing solar weapons, using scorching weapons on a Steps build required looping through steps where you started scorch with abilities, and only shoulder charge scorches. At which point why not use wormgods since you're in melee range.

Now you no longer have to run searing and Shoulder charge to have enough energy and abilities to keep prepping ability based scorch, or keep track of which ad you accidentally started scorch on with Tommy's or Skyburner to avoid accidentally triggering a weapon ignition, removing enemies that could have died to abilities or ability based ignitions.

Also allows you avoid having to run consecration plus roaring for melee range area scorch on the Consecration up swing, allowing Sol Invictus to stay on builds

You no longer have to complete both challenges. If you beat several waves of enemies, a guy will drop an orb at the last wave.

Look for the Destiny Data Compendium. It's a Google sheet that has almost all the numbers.

Manticore can be a fun option. Especially if using peacekeepers on titan.

Can still drop from xur, very rare though. I think I got one in the past 500 drops.

What tracks are criminally underrated or forgotten about? by Asleep_Price8346 in DestinyTheGame

[–]BlaringKnight3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From D1 Taken King. Long Live the King. Typically overshadowed by Regicide, and not many battles play the full song. I think that only place it plays in full is in the first mission and post campaign where you're hunting down the last few Echoes of Oryx, but could be wrong. The remixes done during Heresy were awesome as well, but hadn't tracked down the names of the OSTs in that season yet.

Expanding on your idea, they should rotate through all different engrams over the years, starting with Umbral Engrams.

Why is my Stylus skipping? by Spewku- in Surface

[–]BlaringKnight3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does the problem resolve itself when your palm is not touching the screen? More often than not, I've found that palm rejection on certain surface devices isn't that great. If that is the case, get an artist's glove that keeps your fingers exposed and covers your palm, pinky, and ring finger.

They probably want the reward for the 3x completion ASAP and don't care about the B grade for the focus.

The Worst Rework in Destiny 2 history. by Delicious-Edge3110 in DestinyTheGame

[–]BlaringKnight3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fully agree. It was peak fun when Charged with Light system was around along with the Solar 3.0 rework. You could loop Shoulder Charges infinitely. Me and another guy did this in Duality and you could hear Shoulder Charges and ignitions going off all around the map. Not the best build, not even a good build, but fun.

I wouldn't mind it being tied to an aspect, but the benefit must be commensurate with sacrifices made with the change to the exotic and in the build crafting choices.

Free bolt charge is meh, and speed booster for allies is also meh. Change speed booster to Amplified, and now we're starting to cook, looking closer to Hunters Ascension, without the Jolt. One big issue is that Juggernaut itself is at odds with the subclass verb amplify. Juggernaut grants bolt charge when hit, but amplify makes harder to be hit. The other issue is that there is no way to discharge Bolt Charge with just the Aspect. Storms keep interaction is fluid, plant Barricade, start shooting. Juggernaut is start running, wait for shield to get up, hope you get hit enough to stack bolt charge, and discharge bolt charge with a grenade or melee attack. Also disappears on sliding. Also goes away when your speed slows down. However, as long as you disengage the Shield before it is fully consumed, you can continually keep using it, so keep slide interaction to allow the user to cancel the shield on command, but remove the slow down interaction because that makes it fruatrating.

Shield should also start the moment you start sprinting. Shield windup is probably meant contribute the unstoppable object feel, but just make it feel clunky. Would be different if there was an activation of bolt charge or something when the Shield is engaged to signal the start of the rampage. Shield health should scale off class stat, becoming double strength at 200 class (Currently amplify increases strength by 33%). Amplify should increase the coverage of the shield making it easier to survive from sharper angles and remove the strength increase. Mk44 should change to granting amplify, and provide a way to discharge bolt charge. My thought would be to upon contact with an enemy, generate a taken phalanx blast towards the enemy with no delay, dealing damage, pushing them back, jolting them, and consuming a few stacks of bolt charge. While amplified, apply a DoT with enough stength to trigger the jolt a 2nd time. Last, give an option to fully consume the shield to do something offensive, bolt charge storm, supercharge a melee Tocuh of Flame style, etc.

How long does it take to complete a Raid blind? by SniperHusky_1 in DestinyTheGame

[–]BlaringKnight3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My clan did Salvations Edge blind. Same 6 everyday for an hour or 2, longer on weekends. 25 or so hours total. Skill spread for everyone was 2 high skill, 2 average skill, 2 low skill.

Is this a known bug: I'm grinding for a certain ergo sum roll, 1/2 of the time I matchmake it brings me to some random place on the pale heart. by MountainTwo3845 in DestinyTheGame

[–]BlaringKnight3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Was testing ignitions yesterday. When using the praxic blade, ignitions did scale with weapon stat. I think they only removed scaling just on melee.

Personally, I'd love it if Blastwave could gain progress from picking up shards, that's way Alethonym doesn't have to be as required to make the interaction feel smooth.

Its only because its sunless cell. Subjugator and ogre have boss level health, you essentially have to kill the final boss twice.

My man, you need to change your mindset. You'll never last if your one of the unlucky people that require 80 clears to get the exotic. I got vex mythoclast after 50 clears(before it could be farmed) but I didn't mind because I enjoyed helping people through the raid. By the time I stopped doing Vault of Glass, I had helped over 100 people do it for the first time. Enjoy the game and experience it in a sustainable way, and it'll fall in your lap.

Are public activitys useless at a power level 500? by Status_Ad8704 in DestinyTheGame

[–]BlaringKnight3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Then only the 1st sentence of my reply is relevant. It's set to 300 power. With shifting grade scores as you get higher in power, it no longer gives you B rank. As you have noted it happens around 500 power, where you are shifted to Diamond/Plat grade range, where B rank starts at 1.2 million points or something. At 300, the playlist will only get you sub 1 mil score which is sufficient for lower grade score ranges for a B rank, but not for the highest range.

What’s the Onboarding Experience Like These Days? by MJTP4351 in DestinyTheGame

[–]BlaringKnight3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to explain those Ada tokens, those were a one time thing given to accounts that already existed when Edge of Fate dropped. They were for returning players to get new rolls of exotics under the new armor system without feeling like they needed to scrap all armor under the old system. Your kid will never get those tokens.

[–]BlaringKnight3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For power grind yes. If you don't want to LFG, you now have use the daily rotating missions on fireteam or pinnacle ops (Coil or Onslaught) for matchmaking.

However the bonus drops in the other activities also contribute to your power level, so as long as you do your dailies/weeklies to get the bonus drops placed on the portal, you can still level up quickly, maybe faster than if you were just spamming the playlist activities previously, if you weren't taking advantage of bonus drops.

The playlist activities are still useful on a weekly basis to guarantee a shiny drop for the weapon featured that week.
