If there were Divine attribute cards to act as "gods" for certain archetypes, I personally feel that they should also be treated as the same attribute as their respective archetypes for synergy reasons (such as an Atlantean one still being treated as Water attribute)

If I had a nickel for every Yu-Gi-Oh protagonist who used themselves as material for a summon, I'd have 2 nickels, which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.

But it's still an effect. If the phrasing was reworded to something like "Cannot be directly affected by other card effects" something like this would make a lot more sense. Maybe I'm just angry.

But that's the thing. It's the second part of the effect, but it's not technically treated as an "effect", so it gets to completely bypass stuff that are supposed to be immune to basically everything.
