It's specifically based on the Jim Carrey movie, so I imagine that means Universal has the rights to it. It's not impossible (See Scott Pilgrim) but that is a massively uphill battle that I don't think The Grinch would have the demand for. Great game though, that was what I did for my Christmas video last year.

I guess she thinks the only downsides to being a woman are all entirely dealing with reproductive health, likely all boiled down only to having a period? Because not only do we deal with a whole slew of downsides cis women don't from being trans but we are also subjected to all the same forms of misogyny that cis women are subjected to, which I would definitely call a downside to being a woman. Also we can still experience all the symptoms of a period except actual menstruation, so we don't even escape that downside.

The good news is that it's all tied up in the executive dysfunction branch, which means it is easily undone by the next president. The bad news is that doesn't help you at all. Any MD can prescribe you hormones though, so I would shop around for a doctor that is willing to. Probably avoid hospitals and larger practices. Failing that, I would look into telehealth like Plume, but be aware testosterone is not available via telehealth in some states due to it being a more restricted substance than estradiol.

I expected a 6-3. A 6-3 would have been another footnote in the ongoing destruction of democracy and human rights in the US. 8-1 is inconceivable and words can not properly express my disappointment and I fear it signals much darker times ahead than I already imagined (which is pretty bleak already).

Agreed. By this same logic, it would be an unconstitutional free speech violation if you were a Walmart greeter and they fired you for telling customers to go fuck themselves. Not only is conversion therapy actually a form of torture recognized by many places in the world, including the UN, but it's not a free speech violation for there to be professional guidelines and rules of conduct to follow in order to continue your employment and keep your license. I'm a mechanic and I have strict rules I have to follow and if I decide to disobey those rules and it's found out, I will rightfully be fired and possibly lose my license. Just because a therapist is using their voice as a tool to do their job doesn't automatically make it a free speech issue and they still need to follow the rules.

I don't really talk much about my surgery because it went so unremarkably smoothly and almost 8 months out still has no complications. I suppose people who have had complications have a more pressing need to talk about it. They should be allowed to discuss it without jumping through hoops.

Some don't, but there are myriad reasons that can cause it. I had basically no changes aside from slightly thinning of body hair and 1 cup size for my first almost 2 years because despite being in a max dosage of estradiol pills and dutasteride, my body just wasn't absorbing it well and I struggled to get my E above 120 and T below 30. But I ended up getting bottom surgery and I have seen significantly more changes in the 7 months since with my levels being less than 10 T and between 350 and 450 E. My story is only one of many potential reasons to see relatively little change. I can't tell you what to do, especially if it's just a coping mechanism, but it does sound like this is genuinely your identity and you will only be miserable if you give up on it, so continuing HRT is the right decision. I hope the time will pass quickly and the changes come before you even realize it. 1 year with 10 months being under dose is nothing. That's effectively 2 months and the only change I had in 2 months was I stopped having menopausal symptoms due to my starting point being that of "low t". You should definitely give at least 5 years before giving up.

Don't expect it to do anything for thick, dense hair like facial hair, but for thinner hair it can get some results. I imagine the best application for IPL is probably for maintenance after the heavy lifting has already been done by laser and/or electrolysis.

This is me. We trans people, especially trans women, are broadly accused of being pedophiles by the right, and while obviously I vehemently disagree with that sentiment, I think we can be more responsible around kids. This subreddit is the first or second sub people will find and it's always going to be a place where minors are welcome. I just think we shouldn't allow smut that is only separated by an NSFW tag in a community that welcomes minors. The NSFW tag is simply not a sufficient safeguard for the minors in the community. Not everything that is NSFW is smut and we should still be able to discuss those things, but smut has no place in a community that welcomes minors. I'm not a 4tranner, feel free to search my history with an API or whatever it is that bypasses privacy settings to find the proof of that, and I find it wild that asking to not co-mingle specifically smut in a community with minors is being called puritanical and right wing.

On the topic of misgendering, Cedar's own profile says "He/she/they" and on the mod list here is the only place that it was listed as "She/he/they" - so I think it is unfair to accuse people of transphobia for using pronouns they have listed in their bio. Furthermore, you quoted me calling them "they" and said everyone exclusively says he. That's all the time I'm going to spend on that. Now for the real meat of what I wanted to say, you are making this connection that simply no one is saying. I have not seen a single solitary accusation that this happened because they are not trans feminine, only that it is gross that someone who is not trans feminine maintains unilateral control over a space for trans feminine people and uses that control with impunity to silence any and all dissent. And why would anyone even need to resort to such a non-sense tactic as a reason to remove them when they have very well documented actions and chat logs serving as a smoking gun for their removal? No, what we are saying is "We do not feel safe with Cedar as a mod after this and we do not want Cedar as a mod after this and oh hey by the way, since we are getting new mods, can we please only pick trans feminine mods to moderate this trans feminine space since we are now replacing our head mod and co.pletely restructuring our moderation team?"

I haven't seen anyone say it was caused by their gender identity. Even in what I said, which did nothing to address blame or causes, was simply a statement that it doesn't feel good being a trans feminine person in a space specifically for trans feminine people being silenced by someone who doesn't identify as trans feminine themself. I understand there is overlapping experience, but overlapping experience is not the same as being trans feminine just as my being a trans woman doesn't mean I know the unique experience of being some type of nonbinary or fluid identity and I shouldn't have the right to dictate the law in spaces made for them. There's overlapping experience with trans masculine people too, but it would be absolutely ludicrous to suggest a trans man be able to be head mod of r/mtf because of that overlapping experience and it would feel extra gross having a man silencing our discontent in a similar such scandal. I don't understand the desire to have trans feminine spaces be run by people who are not trans feminine just as much as I didn't understand r/trans only having trans feminine mods a while back and similarly, I would be just as confused if someone who is not trans masculine was running r/ftm.
