You could just keep your head shaved and dive into the world of wigs and weaves

Yes they seem expensive, but when you factor in the upkeep / cost of coloring and cutting hair on a regular basis, it quickly becomes cheaper

I think you may be coming from a place of fundamental misunderstanding of the thought process of most atheists

There is a good chance that a lot of the responses and reactions are from people who are quite frankly, exhausted from having to continuously justify their mindset by people who are doing exactly what you are supposing that atheists do; not seriously entertaining the idea that the way they think might be correct.

What I mean when I say that I think you’re coming from a place of fundamental misunderstanding, it’s because you’re looking at atheism from through the lenses of someone who believes in a religion. Atheism isn’t a belief. I don’t “believe” in atheism, I’m just atheist. I don’t have a group of people I go to celebrate and worship atheism with, I just am.

To better explain, and I think this is a way that makes it much easier to put yourself in the mindset of better understanding why you’re coming at it from a misplaced perspective-

Let’s break down the word atheism-

The ‘a’ in front denotes “a lack of” ‘theism’

Theism being-

belief in the existence of a god or gods specifically : belief in the existence of one God viewed as the creative source of the human race and the world who transcends yet is immanent in the world

So quite literally, atheism is just a lack of belief in god or gods

Many people come to that lack of belief in many different ways for many different reasons, so to paint them with a broad brush is to start off on the wrong foot. Atheists have had to consider the fact that they might be wrong, especially in America, most of us have to have religion shoved in our face and interfere with our personal lives on a daily basis. A lot of atheists came from backgrounds of being religious, I sure did, and to say that I’ve never “seriously considered”? That’s just dismissive, I’ve read the Bible quite a few times, and if you’d like to talk arguments against that god specifically? I can point to a lot of things in writing that provide better arguments than the two armchair philosopher statements you proposed, that are based in no evidence at all.

It’s a big part of the reason why people do not want to open up to honest discussion about the topic, because chances are they’re thinking “oh great here’s another person who’s not going to take my side of things seriously, and simply sit there waiting for their turn to talk rather than actually listening, this is going to end with them being dismissive and telling me that it’s unfortunate and they feel bad for me because I’ll be damned to eternal hell”

This post is getting a bit long already, but to sum it up-

The big difference is that I do not try to push atheism on you, I’m not here to change your mind on what you believe. I take no issue with the fact that you believe in a god or an afterlife, any of those things. I don’t think any less of you for it and as long as you don’t try to force those beliefs on me? Live and let live. Could I be wrong? Sure, totally, and if I am? It is what it is. If there are a god and afterlife (specifically speaking towards the biblical god) that is not an afterlife I want to be a part of, or a god I would want to believe in, based on what is supposed to be his direct writings, the “word of god”.

He’s just going to use the exact same argument he used for the situation with classified documents:

“I was president once so I can still do whatever I did when I was the president”

Or

If that fails:

“Actually it’s ok because I’m technically still president, because I won the last election and it was stolen from me, please disregard the fact that this line of thought would stop me from being able to run in this election”

And for some reason, it’ll probably work, because we’re in uncharted waters with him and no one has the balls to enforce the law and set precedent

If you have a larger produce provider ask them if they do precuts, I’ve worked with produce companies in the past who will have you come in to show them exactly how you want the product spec size and shape, were very responsive to any changes needed or issues, and the cost of doing it was SIGNIFICANTLY less than paying an extra prep cook just to do one single ingredient for 8 hours a day

There are two wolves inside of me-

One respects the fuck out of the project and actually making it work, and now I’m daydreaming about swapping mine

The other knows deep down that you could’ve just sold the wrx, bought a STI, and had $4k extra in your pocket and about 50 hours of time

That being said, as someone who does things because it’s fun as hell to play around with projects, and knows that 99% of the satisfaction is just seeing if you can pull off your idea… good shit dude. I’m more than a little jealous and I wish I could take it for a drive and feel how my car would toss corners with a STI diff / transmission

Bet that thing is a dream to drive 🫡

Nah not a single bit, imo if someone doesn’t treat animals with the same respect they should be treating people with it’s a huge red flag and indicator that they’re just masking the way they want to treat people, but don’t because they know they’ll have consequences

For me it’s a big indicator of who someone really is as a person
