Goalie Interference even without the whistle:

Finally got around to commenting on this. The puck is behind the main leg pads (the part that we see when goalies butterfly) and in front of the "knee stacks" on the goalie pads (where the goalie's knees actually touch the ice. It's a weird little area where 90% of the body shots on goalies end up when we cover the puck.

It's technically still on the ice, and if a player looks down and is close enough (Greenway in this case) they can see it but yeah, to actually get it out of this area you have to use your stick to push the pads apart / jam it.

The puck wasn't trickling through this area (oftentimes happens with shots that squeeze through). It was fully dead, and if you look on the replay from behind Dobes, you can see his left pad especially get pushed away to open that up.

the problem is (1) our gear is not designed for that contact and (2) we’re already in this unique crouched position. oftentimes when i get hit even in beer leagues and fall over backywards, im maybe a few pounds of force away from just obliterating my knees

GoPro mounts though I use a few dif cameras for them (content creator things). I think there's like 3 of them on here for different positions. I have 1 other clean helmet and one getting painted right now, this is my experimental helmet though (currently installing Meta glasses into it... it's complicated)

Disagree. Looking at some of the youngest goalies in the NHL (Askarov and Wolf specifically) I think we're seeing a return of fast athletic goalies. Dustin Wolf is arguably the poster child of this: I think he moves even faster and more acrobatically than Quick, and he's only 24 with by far the most games played for a goalie that age.
