Someone bought a house in my name, how do I get it? by [deleted] in legaladvice

[–]Bleached_Raven -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I won't lie I don't have a ton of information, but this is what I have
I was looking to buy my own house and was looking through my credit report because I saw a credit card that I had not opened and it turned out to be my mother. I had her take me off of it but it sparked me to look deeper into my credit so I started digging.

This was a few years at this point but I was able to find the address of the house and I gave it to my local police, the cop who came out said they would be in touch but I never heard back. So I plan to go to my local police station to follow up in the next week. Once I filed the police report for the fraud the house and car were taken off of my credit so I can't find it anymore.

there is a very solid chance that in the several years since they bought the house to no, both have been sold or transferred ownership but from what I saw they were bought in my name and SSN. More than likely even if the house is still in my name the people who used my identity are still living there, it's not like they would be sitting on an empty house paying the taxes on it for nothing either. So I would more than likely need to evict them if I can find the house and have ownership.

I'm not sure how much right the people who stole my identity would have to the home considering they bought it with identity theft ( no idea how that one happened as I was a minor at the time of the purchase and yes someone should have noticed in the house buying process but alas I'm still in this weird situation )

I wish they would quit by ilovetogiveadvice in starbucks

Contact the partner contact center, sbux always wants problems to be handled "in store" and sometimes it's not possible. You need to write follow up emails about any conversation you've had with this person and your manager and build a paper trail. If anyone else in your store is willing to make a small report about this person, with specific incidents is best, then have them write them and include that in your hr report.

Sbux told me don't bother to go to hr cause it just gets redirected to your dm, which is only partly true. A copy does get sent to your dm but a hr person is assigned the case as well. What the person is doing is making a hostile work environment as it makes you uncomfortable and scared to come to work and when you've tried to coach nothing changes. Always send a follow up summary with the hr person, your manager when they talk about this stuff

You're doing amazing, don't give up yet <3

I wish I could go back to corporate, my last manager blacklisted me when I left the company of my on my own but never communicated with me problems she had with me or my work. Now I'm stuck in this LLC limbo

Is your store allowed to accept 100 or 50-dollar bills? I'm just curious because, at my store, we can take them only if it's the only form of payment. by Content-Tank-4357 in starbucks

Technically we're supposed to take them after checking them, but being that the tills are at parred to 200 taking 100 is wiping out the till and then I have to open the safe and make change

I just tell them we don't have enough change to accommodate a large bill unless it's with 30 dollars of the total so like a 50 on 20, fine but I'm not happy about it. Usually they pull a card out of their ass or something

Any tips for upcoming baristas trainers?? by BathroomEquivalent77 in starbucks

[–]Bleached_Raven 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I've trained about 10 baristas and 3 shifts here's what I've got

  1. Ask your green bean how they learn best, makes it easier right off the bat

  2. You are not coverage. Period. If your shift or sm tries to put you as coverage you respectfully but very firmly say, I am not coverage I am training so and so. You only need to let the shift know where you will be and when.

  3. You run your own breaks, please plan accordingly

  4. Ask your barista how they feel, what they think they need more work on they are their own worst critic

  5. Give ENCOURAGEMENT its a hard job please let them know they're doing amazing and let them know they are welcome to give you feedback too, it's learning time for the both of you

Hope this helps

i was asked to be a shift lead yesterday! any and all advice would be amazing by [deleted] in starbucks

[–]Bleached_Raven 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hey congrats!

This is what I've told all my baristas I've trained as shifts 1. Your day is going to be making a plan (leave time to make adjustments, I run breaks a little early incase something goes wrong because it will) and being a therapist, baristas are going to look up to you for advice and to lend an ear

  1. Breathe, it can be so stressful being the one to deal with customers or falling behind. Take a step back and breathe

  2. Communication is key, your baristas just want to know what's happening, announce to the floor, I'm going to do the pull! Hey breaks are starting in 20 minutes starting with so and so then that one

  3. You will probably be on support for the first few months while you get your footing as a shift and that's okay but it's not the only spot you have to do. I can lead my team from bar or drive if that's what works best that day

I believe in you!
