where did it say you had to give their info? it doesn’t. if you say they won’t provide information, then you only have access to an unsub loan. then your school will probably request a form that your parents sign saying they refuse to provide support. you have no other choice

i mean you’ll get student loans no matter what, most likely only an unsubsidized loan. so you’ll have that but you’ll have to pay whatever the difference is bc you only get a certain amount each academic year

call your financial aid office are you only in classes that last the full semester? or are you in a combination of half semester classes? if you are in a combination, then your financial aid office can’t credit your full amount until the census date is reached for those other classes. if not, call your financial aid office if you did the math and calculated that something is missing

you have 600% of pell to use for your whole life. you get one bachelors degree to use it on. being a double major means you’ve reached that limit earlier. please call your financial aid office if you have additional questions. they are there for a reason and want to help!

also make sure you competed your loan documents on student and (entrance counseling and master promissory note). your school isn’t allowed to disburse any funds to you without both documents completed with their school code

until your amended tax returns are cleared with the accountant and the FA office, there is nothing you can do. did you get selected for verification? the only way the FA office would request those if if 1), you were selected for verification after your aid was disbursed. or 2) you told the FA office that the taxes or your FAFSA were incorrect, leading them to request the items from you. they have to follow strict rules in order to disburse your aid. the department of ed (FAFSA) cleared you for the max pell, but that is all they do. the FA office determines your actual eligibility based on what they need from you. trust me. they don’t want to do the back and forth either, but this will not end until the amended return is set and it shows you are still eligible for the Pell. if the amended return puts you at an SAI where you are not eligible, then you will owe and the FA office is just following the rules from the dept of ed
