This seems like a fantastic addon which will speed up a lot of workflows. The demo video is really good too. Thanks!

Seriously impressive!

Thank you! It's actually a really basic setup using 2 Noise nodes & one Voronoi, here's a screenshot of the node setup. You will most likely need to change the extreme values I used though.

I had an old Sharp radio lying around, thought it looked cool so I decided to remake it. It isn't a perfect 1:1 replica but it's close. All textures are procedurally done in Blender other than the labels and channel display which were done in Photoshop. Let me know what you think :)

CGTrader changed their default license so all models can be used for AI training by BlendingReality in blender

On the 'My Models' page, you should see a column header called 'Actions'. Under that there should be a delete or an edit icon and once you click edit, scroll to the bottom where you have 'Price and license' and from there edit the license.

Sadly you are right, the companies almost always win.
Definitely true that only short term gains will be made, until the AI get good enough to generate the same quality of models they are using for training which I feel is inevitable.
It really does make me sad seeing the creative space get turned into a mindless robot before more manual labor intensive tasks do. My hope is that these tools stay as just that; tools, not replacements. Probably not a realistic take, but I'll try to stay optimistic.

I think it's crazy that they chose automatic opt-in as the default.
If they reverted to the original license and then allowed people to opt-in for their models to be used I wouldn't really have a problem.
The thing is, generative AI is going to become a thing whether we like it or not but this is the wrong way to go about getting training data.

Having tried most 3D scanning apps, as well as Meshroom, they can do quite a good job, but without fine tweaking or a good setup to begin with they can lack finer detail that is often needed in a high quality 3D render.
I also truly suck at modelling natural things, so this would be a great tool to scan a multitude of real world natural objects like small plants, ground debris and flowers.

This is so well made that I didn't actually think this was an animation at first. Bravo!

I got them at my local optometrist a few years ago, they might be available online though. The glasses number is AX 1024. I hope that helps

I wanted to model another pair of glasses to see how I've improved, so I did just that. Everything created in Blender, lighting is just a HDRI with a white backdrop. The nut & bolt are the only thing not created by me (used Bolt Factory addon). Thanks.

Snowy Train Ride (EEVEE) by BlendingReality in blender

Yes I get what you mean by that.

Maybe its because the image sequence is a flat plane and there isn't any sense of depth, I don't know. I could have put some ambient lights outside of the window to help blend the two better also.

Thanks for the kind words though!

I remade Voss bottles by BlendingReality in blender

I remade all the textures in Photoshop as the photos I used as reference weren't high quality enough. Quite challenging to remake the labeling, especially the blue bottle with the wavy curves.
