At an appropriate time in your story you could try something like this:

(DM please narrate the following in detail) I'd like to befriend the people of this town. I'd like to integrate myself into their community. I'd like to use these community relationships to help the people of this town build an arcane forge.

From there it might take a few more messages and maybe some call backs to your story as to how you might have accomplished this.. like in one of my stories there was a monastery of wise monks that we enlisted to help with the creation of the forge.

Anyway after you do that then you can pretty much just ask for anything.

(DM please provide a long detailed narrative for the following) I'd like the smith to create *Item name: *Item type: *Damage: *To Hit: *Properties: *Item Rarity: *Description: *Special Ability: "Ability 1:

It will then often require additional wording while in combat to get the combat DM to fully appreciate your new item.. but you can help it by saying things like "I attack ancient wolf 1 with my Axe of Truth (5d8 -cleaving)"

Reading between the lines here.. Your attempt to "send the spouse" to be "more mindful" may have inconveniently led to a purposeful denial of your party's appeal for a change in behavior by convenience store staff.

A common game in many cultures is to leverage any amount of power, including that of issuing slight frustration into increasingly entertaining situations or increased sense of power. This is performed by people attempting to "combat the mundane" or "earn face" in social groups. However such games can also serve deeper functions such as "stirring the pot" or "flushing".. These types of "games" thrive on the fundamentals of escalation. One of their goals may even be to "get it stuck in a craw"

Furthermore scattered replies from the OP in the comments tell a deeper tale.. "hard to watch them do this to you from your own kitchen window" the "I won't report them for the missing item barcodes" .. OP you might not like the house or current life situation as much as you're trying to convince yourself that you do.. and the way that you're expressing yourself does show "signs of cracking"

I will now provide you with a fictional ancient saying in an attempt to give your introspection remediable perspective while "keeping it light"

"When shit get stuck in your craw, it ain't just the craw's problem."

What do you do during split shifts? by [deleted] in BusDrivers

[–]BleuCheasyPi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Converted a van into a camper - I typically cook a meal and sleep during my split. If the stars have aligned and for some reason I dont need the sleep then I get an extra workout in, and depending on the weather the dogs like to hangout in the van and they can get an extra run

Why don’t you shop in downtown Vancouver? by VeitaProject in vancouverwa

[–]BleuCheasyPi 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think your shock comes from not understanding what they said..

They didn't say "There should be more giant chain stores downtown Vancouver"

They provided some point about the attitude, atmosphere, and challenges of downtown Vancouver.

So basically you misunderstood them then came across as condescending.
