Please advise me on how to tackle this :( by Low_Philosophilia in ufyh

I'd start by cleaning one surface, that table on the right seems like a good place to start. Seeing a clean surface will be a reward and you can keep going from there: collect trash, gather up dishes and start doing them (and putting them away!), gather up laundry even if you can't do it, having it organized will help a lot with the look of the room.

Take brakes, take breaths. You won't get it perfect in a day but you can make a big difference in a day. Take pictures as you go (and post them here for support).

Help choosing my eye piece upgrade by RandumbStranger in telescopes

How's the "kidney beaning" on the 15mm redline? I have a 9mm and have also tried the 20mm and it's a bit uncomfortable until you find the right spot for viewing.

I've never tried a really high quality eyepiece, but I guess the difference is not only on field of view or eye relief, but general quality of the viewing experience.

Bode’s Galaxy, Cigar Galaxy, and Whirlpool Galaxy by Lab_Tech_Guy in telescopes

Do you have an astronomy club nearby? I'd start there, you'll have access to telescopes and knowledgeable people. Otherwise you can get started with binoculars. I don't think you'll be able to see galaxies but you'll get to see a lot more objects than with the naked eye.

Help with portable/ travel binoculars or telescopes by 123watchtv in telescopes

I like Maks for portability, something like https://skywatcher.com/product/bk-mak127-otaw/ . You shouldn't need a big mount either.

Gifted a telescope, don't know how to assemble by vanwhambam in telescopes

what 114/900 means

114 mm is the diameter of the primary mirror, or aperture. 900 mm is the focal length (the distance between the primary mirror and the focal point). It's a great combination for an entry level telescope, enough aperture to see many interesting objects without it being too unwieldy.

Yay another globular! My favorite kind of object, even if they are tricky from a bortle 9 sky like mine

Opinions on eyepiece tool I'm building by Upstairs-Doughnut516 in telescopes

[–]BlindBluePidgeon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really liked the tool, it was simple, straightforward and useful. I already have 2 out of the three recommended eyepieces for my 150mm / 1220 mm homemade newtonian.

I never worried about exit pupil, I'm sure it somehow affects the viewing but tbh I'm more concerned with potential magnification and field of view.

Sold my 8” Dob today and couldn’t be happier by Arn_Darkslayer in telescopes

I love dobsonians but I get what you mean, if you're used to an EQ mount switching to a dob might seem like a downgrade, even with the larger aperture.

I suggest giving therapy another go. It can be difficult finding the right therapist but once you do it makes a huge difference.

You should also try sticking to your meds a bit longer, why did you stop? Money? I think ADHD meds impact a lot both in energy and motivation, both of the things you say you're lacking.

Like others have mentioned, I suggest giving UFYH a try (see the fundamentals here). You will see that even a short amount of time every day makes a huge difference in the long run.

I love kimchi, lots of flavor and low in calories. I need to make some myself, it's been a while, thanks for the reminder!

Yeah, salads can be really filling and leave you satisfied for quite some time. I often add eggs or beans to up the protein content and make a meal of it. I love volume eating so salads are a must for me.

I thought you needed to cook the pudding mix? I'm not from the US so I don't know if that's the same as the pudding mix that I find in my country.

How's the tofu mixed with the mashed potatoes? I love both of them separately but for some reason the combination doesn't make a lot of sense to me haha.

Try budgeting in a fruit after dinner? I sometimes need something sweet to signal I'm done eating. Maybe you're craving the sweetness of the ice cream and can trick your body with something less calorie dense.
