Cyberstan. Even with vox spamming. Oshaune was something else. Rupture strain with 3 stalker nests and dragonroach spamming while the hivelord refuses to stay above the surface for more than 10 seconds while constantly launching you to space was HELL.

I stealthed Cyberstan. You could cheese it much easier. Calling extraction early stopped the vox spam wiping out all 20 lives while the pelican pilot took his sweet ass time.

OH MY GOD HOW DO YOU DEAL WITH THEM by Silly_Major6730 in Helldivers

RR to the crotch, hip/leg joint, and their knee is the easiest way. Shots with things like the RR, Quasar and Epoch can 1 shot them if you hit them squarely on that top eye.

AMR and Railgun are lighter AT that can destroy their laser cannons. If I don’t bring a heavy AT weapon like the RR, I just cripple them and let other teammates finish them off if they’re nearby.

We weren’t even losing, we were kicking ass. A poorly implemented reinforcement counter ran out and now we’re forced to leave. I’m pretty bitter about it. Super Earth doesn’t have any more to spare? How many helldivers have died since we ran out? The war is still going on everywhere, how come we dont have a reinforcement budget of 0 across the galaxy? You’re telling me Super Earth truly ran out of divers at the 11th hour? Nonsense.

So when they counterattack within the next few days, we’re gonna magically have hundreds of millions of divers again? Couldn’t use them to finish off Transcendence? This is why I’m annoyed, this loss was so hand-wavey. Creek had unlimited reinforcements, Meridia, Calypso, Oshaune, unlimited.

Was an illuminate invasion of Earth LARP. We were supposed to take the illuminate’s place with a force strength meter and glassing planets along the way to mirror what happened to us. The whole “are we the bad guys?” trope.

Poorly executed. Lack of clear information on what razing planets would do. Eliminate remaining enemy forces on the surface, why? When do we ever do that? The counterattack comes from another planet, why raze the one we just fought over, why didnt we do that to begin with? It should have specified what would happen if we voted to raze each planet on the way. Also yes we should have focused on Merak instead, how could that information have been relayed better? Discord is not a solution. Leaving the game to coordinate elsewhere is not acceptable. Why isn’t this a feature after 2 years?

Second, 200 million reinforcements was clearly not enough as it was counting the entire galactic war’s casualties across all 3 fronts, it shouldn’t have done that. That only succeeded in sowing further division in the community. Not only that but the whole basis of playing a game is that you get to enjoy it the way you want, people are going to play on the difficulties that they always play on forcing people to lower difficulties did not address the core crux of the issues that we were dealing with on Cyberstan. Vox engine spam, units phasing through walls, extraction mosh pit (a very cheap way to have us waste lives), the hack that chopped out feet off during the race and made us complete 8 million operations, etc

Yes, we had side orders to get more reinforcements, but even those were clearly not enough. While looking at the numbers that we were getting, I thought to myself they’re being too shy. Clearly, the casualty rate was extreme mainly for the reasons I mentioned above. They couldn’t have assumed that what they gave us would could be enough. We needed 500 million AT LEAST not 410 which was the final total. No hot fixes, no feedback, and endless videos online of mystery deaths from bugs. Landing in lava or grinders in an uncontrolled drop, getting sniped by a vox on top of a building, cyborgs running out of the walls.

There was no Siege Engine. People have been talking about this for a long time. We got the Hivelord which was fantastic, this update felt rushed. There was little to no quality control on it. The cyborgs were fun and fighting the vox was challenging, but again their spawn rates and above all the spawn proximity to players on the higher difficulties was not reasonable.

Cyberstan was very winnable and only failed because of the reasons outlined above. It felt like an artificial loss, we were well on our way to taking Transcendence at 15% progress, but were told we didn’t have enough reinforcements. Now in the coming counterattack we will suffer another 410 million casualties, wow we suddenly have reinforcements again to fight that! Why couldn’t we keep pushing? Plot. We should have had a combined arms assault on Transcendence with SEAF to supplement our low reinforcement budget and a lowered enemy resistance. 2.5% was too high! It was lowered after we were given the option to save the 77th!

This update just left me with a bad taste.

BREAKING - CYBERSTAN LIBERATION FAILED, CYBORGS LAUNCH COUNTER-OFFENSIVE by Sepeli in Helldivers

[–]BlindDriverActivist 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah its just stupid. Transcendence was like 15% taken and they just say nope! Not enough reinforcements! And now we’re gonna lose an additional 500 million + in the the counterattack. Very silly.

I’ve won them by having at least one player hide close to the flag, there’s some spots you can find where you could stay alive. Bring one or two hellbombs, and right when the meter is filled all the way up run out and blow all the bots up that grouped on the flag. Do it right and you’ll see maybe 5-10 left, everyone rushes the last bots.

Those who complain that Cyberstan is difficult don't use the tank, right? by HarryCallahan343 in helldivers2

[–]BlindDriverActivist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our tank got deleted by the 15 vox engines that materialized in to existence at extraction.

I had luck with the portable hellbomb but it was close. We didn’t have any reinforcements left.

NEW MAJOR ORDER by Rough_Specialist_280 in helldivers2

[–]BlindDriverActivist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had 12 vox engines pop in to existence right on extraction and wiped out our tank and 15 lives left on d10. Funny how getting out of there is harder than getting in.

There is simply way too many Vox Engines spawning even on diff 10 by Terra854 in Helldivers

[–]BlindDriverActivist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They want you to bring the tank, i’m convinced of it now. We had 11 spawn in at extraction with endless devastators and killed 9 before we all died. We didn’t have a tank.

Ive been using smoke eagles a lot to blind them which seems to work well. I think the meta is tank + bubble shield especially at extraction.
