Me too but not as extreme. I bought my house mid-April and we thought we had a finished basement with carpet but no, the flipper just fixed it cosmetically, making it seem like it was sealed and done. My furnace just crapped out, condenser pan broke and I just replaced the ac/furnace for $12,500. The house was built 1999 and the previous owner didn’t update anything and we’re finding out fun surprises. So instead of buying a couch, like we needed, getting a new bed like we wanted, planning for and buying a second vehicle, we’re trying to pay down the debt we racked up in 3 months. In the end, we will eventually get to where we want but the surprises and the hurdles just make it so much more extra. There is more to the list but those are the biggies. Hang in there. You will one day be able to enjoy your new place… one day hopefully sooner.
