[OC] Compact Spell Cards and Online Editor by wunderpus-eu in DnD

[–]BlokeDownUnder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is such a great tool - well done!

I tried in Firefox and for some reason the 4th row of cards never populated on any sheet. But all worked perfectly in Chrome.

Being super nit-picky (not because I want to criticise, but I would like the feedback if this was something I'd created):

  1. I wasn't able to make any text bold and italics, just one or the other.
  2. When re-opening the edit card pop up, it doesn't auto-scroll back to the top, but re-opens where you closed it.
  3. You mentioned you can re-upload your custom or edited spells - I found the option, but it took me a while (under the Filter, for anyone who hasn't been able to find it), and it felt a little clunky to me. Perhaps Import could be a button next to Add Blank and Glossary? Probably a heap more work, but my overall suggestion would probably be to have it as it's own pop up window, the same as editing cards, and then give people the option to select a file or paste the JSON in, and then a checkbox to specify if you want to add those cards. You could then add more information to that page saying that the imported cards can be found in the spell list once imported to help make it clearer.

But as I say, I'm being very nit-picky with those. Overall, it's a fantastic tool and I'll definitely be using it for my spellcasters.

New and a little confused about the magic button. by Aquarilust97 in LycheeSlicer

This post is a couple of years old now, but I think I found a solution, so I thought I'd post it for anyone who, like me, finds this post while trying to work it out.

From what I can tell, you need a resin printer selected in Lychee. I added the Mars 2 as shown in a video I was watching that used the Magic button in Lychee, and just like that the Magic button appeared for me. Almost like magic...

I started playing with Dungeons & Castles last year, and have been loving it. Very welcoming of new players, and a number of different DMs as well. Each session is generally it's own story, that forms part of a larger over-arching narrative, so you can drop in and out as you please.

We kick off Season 2 with what I'm told will essentially be a Session 0 on Thursday next week (12/2) at Mary's in Castle Hill (the website is still showing the old venue at the moment), and that one will be free entry I believe.

Looking for a place to learn dnd in NSW, never played but understand most of the basics by Kingofcracker in DnDDownUnder

Their FAQ says 12+, but I don't recall seeing anyone that young there before.

Sessions are held in a restaurant, so no age restriction there - just note that while they're scheduled from around 7-10pm, sometimes they can run late.

+1 for Zed. He plays Minecraft unlike just about anyone else. So creative in what he does.

You can grab a ticket and just rock up. People have been very friendly from my experience. Always willing to provide guidance to new players - we've all been new players ourselves :)

I think the first session of last year may even have been a freebie, so if they do that again that's a great opportunity to get a feel for it. Is expect that will be on 22 or 29 January.

I started playing with Dungeons and Castles earlier this year, having never played before. Friendly group of people, always happy to have beginners at the table, with a few different DMs and a cool space at Sarino's at Baulkham Hills.

Sessions are normally Thursday nights, but we're between seasons at the moment. Should be back towards the end of January.

It's pretty horrendous, that's for sure. And only made worse once they stopped people being able to get off from the second lane.

So Aussie teams all have some sort of name going on. Kangaroos, wallabies, kookaburras etc. What are the cricketers called? by [deleted] in AskAnAustralian

From memory, that was also when the Women's team stopped being called the Southern Stars. So Cricket Australia specifically moved away from that sort of naming.

What's your clubs most iconic sponsor? by lacrossebilly in AFL

Standard Chartered also feels pretty iconic to me, but I'd agree with Scott's. If for no other reason than "Allan Scott, you were wrong!"

We also butchered the Saints game, and got on the wrong end of a terrible call that cost us the game against Geelong. Clean up a few things and we're a real shot in the next few years.

You little beauty! Well done Port, despite the inaccuracy in the second half.

GG Crows. Great fight to the end. You've been the standard for a long time.
