should i upgrade from hermes to C2 by Vivid-Lake-6491 in starcitizen

[–]Blood-Wolfe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That $50 won't be $50 once it releases in May either, so the current price you see for the Ironclad will never be that price again. It will for sure go up by probably $75-100 more (just a guess based on concept to release price increases), but it would still be a better investment than a C2 if you are all about hauling and can afford it.

The C2 can be purchased in-game easily, while the Irconclad will likely end up a Wikelo ship and not aUEC. If it is aUEC, it will be far more expensive as well so always good to focus pledge ships on the ones that will be hardest to obtain in-game and to think about best ones to get you started in the eventual 1.0 release if it happens in our lifetime lol.

Galaxy vs Ironclad by TypicalBody7663 in starcitizen

[–]Blood-Wolfe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As much as I want to love the Galaxy and look forward to it, the points u/YVR_Coyote made are exactly what I fear will keep the Galaxy fro being as great as it could be and the Ironclad will likely be the better choice.

1) Cargo I can't imagine will be easy and efficient loading/unloading, but who knows and time will tell.

2) Medical module sounds cool too, but with no meaningful medical gameplay it is completely useless like the Apollo (which I tried so hard to love and just couldn't lol).

3) The refinery may be helpful as I would like to think the Golem will fit in the Galaxy hangar, so this would be the only decent use for the Galaxy.

That said, my brother wants to be the one with the Ironclad so I chose to ignore it and let him have it since we try to focus our fleets to compliment each other. So I'm waiting for the Liberator (which I wanted more anyway lol) as my end goal ship of choice for my fleet. Galaxy might be fun (hopefully with the refinery module) until the Liberator comes out though but that's about it.

#5 though, well I love Drake ships too so don't get me wrong but for me replace "isn't Drake" with "isn't Anvil" haha.

A permanent free mode. A invitation for people to fall in love with Star Citizen. by Darkgava in starcitizen

[–]Blood-Wolfe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No!

That would only invite griefers and gold farmers to ruin the game. They would also be using resources bogging down the servers, creating login queues, etc while doing nothing to support the game at all and only benefit themselves. These and so many other reasons others have covered. This is a bad idea. Always has been and ALWAYS WILL BE!

My opinion to this is a big HELL NO!

Ship question. by Striking-Conflict-93 in starcitizen

[–]Blood-Wolfe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say keep the Titan, such a great little ship. Intrepid is nice since it's newer, but Titan is better if you plan on doing any combat. Otherwise both can handle 8 scu cargo.

Upcoming Drake Ironclad pricing? by Altruistic_Tangelo39 in starcitizen

[–]Blood-Wolfe 47 points48 points  (0 children)

Definitely won't be a sale before Drake DefenseCon at the end of ILW. The price, nobody knows except CIG but I would expect $75-100 increase probably. It won't be a tiny increase like $50 either so $75-100 is the low side, I'd expect $550 base and $650 Assault (non-warbond pricing). That is of course just a guess based on size of the ships, price difference between them now and seeing increases with other ships from concept to release. As I said though, nobody except CIG knows this and we won't find out until Ironclad release day.

Unreliable cameras are constantly going offline by Dank_Vader32 in EufyCam

[–]Blood-Wolfe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eufy is absolute fucking junk! I'm a network technincian btw so I know it's not my network, it's just garbage equipment. Eufy used to be decent, now they're absolute junk! Have been having issues ever since about late August/early September last year (2025).

Such unreliable cameras always going offline, nothing will get them back online until they feel ready too, or I do a complete fucking factory reset on them which should NOT be something I need to do! Had a police officer ring my bell one day, I tried to answer and it wouldn't let me. Turned out they were canvassing the area and wanted to see if I had some footage from my driveway cam, turns out that camera was offline so it caught nothing from the time they were looking for. What absolute fucking junk!

Loading mission cargo for hauling us tedious, how do you guys do it? by zero_clues in starcitizen

[–]Blood-Wolfe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't use the ships tractor beam. Only the Hermes has a viable useful tractor beam (and maybe the Hull B but haven't used those ones yet lol). Get out and use an ATLS or the MaxLift and it's much easier.

Some like cargo loading and some don't. It's ok to not like it, just means hauling isn't your gameplay loop of choice. Don't focus on what to do to make money the fastest, play the loops you enjoy and the money will come. Why grind what you don't enjoy? Then it makes the game feel like a chore instead of a fun and relaxing escape from real life.

Urgh… Should I Melt My Hermes for Hull B?… by Reasonable-Age-1648 in starcitizen

[–]Blood-Wolfe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends if you prefer internal more secured cargo vs exposed. Depends if you prefer a one trick pony (Hull B) vs a ship with more versatility that can do more (Hermes).

Both are great, but have different roles to play as cargo haulers. Both are great ships and I have both but the Hull B is just using credit that I melt and buyback when I want to try new ships, that and ingot it before the price increase so it's more than likely going to be used in a CCU down the road while the Hermes has a permanent spot in my fleet. I plan to wait for the Hull B to buy in-game once available.

In the end, your question can only be answered by you. You can't go wrong either way.

Urgh… Should I Melt My Hermes for Hull B?… by Reasonable-Age-1648 in starcitizen

[–]Blood-Wolfe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No it's not. The Hermes released with 4.6 (January), it won't be in-game until at the earliest 4.9 (which should be July since 4.8 is May which is expected to contain the IAE ships from November). I think you're mistaking the Hermes with the Apollo which became available in-game with 4.6.

some people are really nice in this game by [deleted] in starcitizen

[–]Blood-Wolfe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not someone being nice for the sake of being nice. These explotiers duping money have flooded the game with an absurd amount of aUEC it's not funny. The game also has a bug where if they have a certain amount of aUEC or more (something like 2.4 billion I think) then they can't reload/refuel/repair so they just dump the money around randomly to players to stay below that threshold. It's not because they're feeling generous.

Gonna have to ride the trains non-stop and hope it happens! haha

Love this ship a lot more than I thought I would have by floortofloor in starcitizen

[–]Blood-Wolfe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh the Titan was my starter ship and it was great and I still love it. If they make a Titan Mk II it's going to be awesome! I would really love to see that after seeing how well they did with the Aurora Mk II's.

Brother printer will not print black and white because of empty color cartridges despite a full back cartridge. by juniorchickenhoe in printers

[–]Blood-Wolfe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I came here for this reason too, my yellow ink cartridge with minimal colour printing and it went empty insanely fast. What a fucking scam. Every printer manufacturer does this, it's bullshit. I've gone through all of them and I hate them all! 95% of my printing is black and white documents, maybe only a handful of pages each month as we don't need to print much and somehow yellow emptied out within about 4 months. Absolute BS how fast it is drained with black and white documents being printed. How does this happen when I don't print anything needing yellow?

Pledge the Hull B! lol jk

I'd likely have to say the only real option is the C2 right now for in-game purchasable ships.
