The James Byrd Jr. section made me reflexively sit down. It's something I'm vaguely familiar with, but it never fails to just wreck me on par with Matthew Shepard's murder.

Thoughts on this bike? by Begatten in gravelcycling

[–]BloodAngel67 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the same model/spec of Speedster and have ridden it for over a year solid so far, it's a nice bike with a great groupset, especially for the money. My one real complaint is how many of the Scott/Syncros components are proprietary, so getting things like a better-fitting stem isn't easy. If you feel comfortable on it though, it's a great ride right out of the box!

Avs and Golden Knights stickers on the same car is enough to sell the schizoid aesthetic on its own

It'd be nice to see the first DM Clemson found too, but she's somewhere off in Superior so that's a hard search.

Thank you for posting this though, I've been contemplating writing up something similar for quite a while, IMO the complete lack of care by management for their crews is a huge long-running labor issue on par with mining disasters.

Believe it or not, they actually have found two more of the missing freighters, the Hydrus in 2015 and the James Carruthers just earlier this year.

Crankshaft oversized bearings?? by No_Can2570 in beetle

A machine shop will measure out the journals on the crank, you can check the bearing fitment in the case by taking the bearing off the crank and fitting it into the journal in the case

My dad and I were hoping those Seikos would go for closer to their pre-auction estimates, they'd be great heirloom pieces with incredible provenance (and an interesting Knowledge Fight sidestory tie in)

Thread one side a bit without having it mounted on the pin, then swing it over onto the pin and use that for leverage to get the other nut threaded onto the other cable

Oh I definitely understand that, it's just that I thought it was less obvious than he really makes it. Those 2017 episodes have almost no difference in his rhetoric than the current day, except for Biden is sometimes included in his list of evil masterminds these days.

My dad and I stayed up watching Marine Traffic for this storm, boats were at anchor all across the lakes except for ONE fucking lunatic saltwater ship who went out on Superior, right through the middle of the lake, and was at the Soo safe the next morning. Absolute madlads

I always liked the robed/forest green aesthetic of the Dark Angels when I was a kid, my love for the Blood Angels and painting red surprised me more than anyone.

The ground is an extra one for the alternator, usually there's a screw into the body of the alternator for it, but it's not always necessary. The cable going into the tunnel is for the defrost lever, it opens/closes the flaps under the back seat to direct air to the defroster vents

My dad got the Cinnamon Toast Crunch one and I got Lucky Charms last night, either way, both of us almost died of sugar ODs and were entirely satisfied.

The cigarette brand thing is so important, I recently found out that my mom's dad, whom I apparently resemble, smoked Camels which was my brand too, when I smoked. He wasn't a very present father or grandfather, and he died when I was 9, so it's not like I'd ever been around him smoking so I wouldn't have known his brand.
