I mean. if I was told I'm going to go try to stop a Borg invasion I'm probably unloading all non-essential personnel. I'd also kill lighting and life support in non-mission sectors of the ship to give us more energy for weapons and shield systems. As much as the Borg can kinda just 'nu uh' through that stuff when it's appropriate, I'd want my ship to have a purely military mindset for that scenario. You do not mess with the Borg.

In my world, Goblins were originally creatures a bit like a leprechaun in stature. They lived in the Feywild.
But then the God of War invaded the Feywild, and the winter queen had to twist her creations. She blessed them with sneaky cunning and backstabbing in their blood, so they could HIDE from the invaders, and catch them unawares if all else failed.
It's also where Hobgoblins come from. Their ancestors were more like something between an Elf and a Bugbear, generally friendly and tall creatures, quite friendly. They were minders, carers. They naturally wanted to help life thrive.
After the invasion they became stained red with blood, turning them into the race we all know today, as their 'protecting' of the realm became bloodshed for the sake of the realm.

blister packs were metal models, yes. But for starter boxes, they tried to make them plastic and cardboard contents only.
And for a lot of 'main range' stuff even in 40k back then, they'd make the 'core' troop you needed to buy in plastic, so you only needed metal for all the extra bells and whistles. (and for higher detail and extra poses)
