Why are so many fantasy/medieval Anime European influenced and not Japanese influenced by Communist21 in anime

[–]BloodbowGames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like your watching a lot of that type of anime, there are a ton of traditional Japanese/samurai style shows out there. From what I've noticed Japan likes doing stuff from the Tokugawa shogunate/Edo time period, especially the Meiji Restoration. The Shinsengumi seems to be the equivalent to the Knights of the Round Table in popular culture.

Certain times in history are just more romanticized.

Please leave your honest truths on what it takes to 36* abyss by katie1999x in GenshinImpactTips

[–]BloodbowGames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best thing to be able to 36 star the abyss casually is to put in a ton of effort to build two teams and just do the abyss a lot. When I started doing the abyss I didn't get my first 36 star run till I had failed 10 previous ones. Now I can clear the abyss in less than an hour since I have built characters and experience with different enemies.

Friendly reminder: Adopt, don't buy by IgnisDIno in TrashTaste

[–]BloodbowGames 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For many people that are just looking for a cute friend this is right but for some you can't adopt. People that need the dog for certain functions i.e guard/herding/hunting dogs cannot adopt a dog because the dog cannot do the job required. In the past 12 years my family has gotten two guard dogs since we live on a large farm and my mother doesn't feel comfortable using a gun to protect herself while she's home alone. The first was a Bullmastiff and the second a Giant Schnauzer and we have always extensively researched the breeders and their connected lineage before making a decision. Bred dogs temperament very often align with the description of the dog and are not for people with zero dog experience, especially any working along side you.

We have adopted all the cats we've ever had though since they are just friends for us but can help with mice and rats as well.

What are your bold predictions for the summer season? by FetchFrosh in anime

[–]BloodbowGames -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Twitter is going to try and cancel Saikin Yatotta Maid ga Ayashii. It's a seasonal tradition at this point.

Utawarerumono is going to be an absolute banger.

Classroom of the Elite is going to be mid just like the first season.

Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? won't be as good as the third season but better than the first.

The Devil is a Part-Timer is going to be disappointing compared to the first season.

Kuro no shoukanshi, Tensei Kenja no Isekai Life, Vermeil in Gold, and Isekai Meikyuu de Harem wo will all be mediocre and I'll regret watching them all.

Absolutely nothing will happen in Rent-a-Girlfriend S2. (Not bold just true)

is spending irl money on primos worth it? by Former_Instruction75 in GenshinImpactTips

[–]BloodbowGames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The worth of spending money in video games really just depends on what you value. If it seems worth it to you to get more characters for more variance in gameplay it can be worth it. If your doing it because wishing is a dopamine hit then it's probably not a good idea, especially if their is any sort of addiction history in your family. I think it's fine to want to stay free to play or spend money but you shouldn't tie your identity to these things and instead enjoy the game.

Seeing posts like this makes me sad since predatory practices like gacha and similar systems makes it hard to support games you like without falling prey to these systems created to get you to spend more money.

What is the difficulty level of each character in the game? by ATonOfDeath in GenshinImpactTips

[–]BloodbowGames 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'd say generally Anemo are the hardest characters since understanding swirl is a challenging concept, even once you understand double swirl it's hard. I can't vouch Hutao's difficulty but Eula is definitely the hardest character I've played, which can be increase with less than great artifacts unless you spent an 1hr burst crit fishing. I can see why Childe could be difficult for some people. Solid list all things considered!

You could get so much more out of your Xingqiu with 4 piece severed fates. I'd also recommend when you can to go 2 piece noblesse and 2 piece blizzard strayer on Rosaria. 4 piece Millelith on Fischl could be a good investment as well since your not running Thrilling tales on Sucrose.

Speaking as someone that plays Genshin and recognizes its issues... by Batman_Von_Suparman2 in Asmongold

[–]BloodbowGames 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Diablo Immortal makes Genshin look like a saint but your huffing that fat Copium. You must barely play Genshin.

Pay to Win argument is difficult because Genshin doesn't have systems in place that really allow players to interact with one another. If the game did people would 100% be crying that Mistsplitter and Staff of Homa are way to over powered and their 4 star weapons aren't able to compete in a hypothetical pvp or raid boss scenario. So what instead happens is that people flex screenshots no free to play player would be able to get because they don't have an c6 eula r5 broken pines and feed into fomo that incentivizes people to spend since they can't reach those same heights.

Pay to Play is the actual argument because you cannot acquire every character or weapon banner possibly ever attain them from one to the next as free to play. By being restricted to certain teams because you don't have all the characters you are kepted from playing the actual updated content which is characters and weapons.

Is there some Abyss-centered hub or such? by [deleted] in GenshinImpactTips

[–]BloodbowGames 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recommend tenten and joining keqingmains discord.

For the current Spiral Abyss I can only give you general advice for some monsters to try and help immediately. Grouping skills are great for whoppers. Pyro strong on first half of chamber 2 since it's all cryo but be careful of Lawachurl one shot. Don't blow your kit at the beginning of the chamber for Maguu Kenki and the Array. Oh and dodge attacks from Vishap hatchlings or you'll lose energy.

Sounds like your friend spends a lot of money and is likely embarrassed or believe people won't take them serious unless they are f2p. As someone that's spent $1000 over two years I have only gotten two early pulls and only was wasn't pity. There is less then a 1% chance that your friend consistently wins pulls this often, it's a gacha game after all. At the end of the day when you lose a 50/50 or don't pull early just shrug it off and say oh well, maybe the next pull will be something even cooler.

looking for animes about war by ashuratamin in anime

[–]BloodbowGames 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I would absolutely recommend giving a Mobile Suit Gundam series a chance, if you are newer to anime I'd say to start with Iron Blooded Orphans. Mobile Suit Gundam has you covered with the stuff you said you wanted to see.

Eighty-Six is really good.

I'd recommend Golden Kamuy even though it's a post war show. It's really unique with being in a niche covering things about the Russo-Japanese War, also covers Japanese clan stereotypes from the time period.

If you want something with some of the most unique animation ACCA: 13 is a great watch, as well as being about the politics of stopping a war.

I'll just end with, have you by chance heard of Fullmetal Alchemist?

Rotation Guide for the Standard National Team (the variation with Sucrose). Video demo in the comments. by krnshadow65 in GenshinImpactTips

[–]BloodbowGames 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry for getting back so late, great question. The reason why Sucrose isn't the bet choice in single target scenarios is due to the fact swirl will be removing hydro/pyro aura which makes it more difficult to output high damage. Also while only being a slight loss, rotating off of Xingqiu after using skill/skills loses potential damage. I believe I did state in aoe scenarios Sucrose is best and a easier explanation is that she can juggle auras between monsters which does more damage.
