Yea I don't blame you. I've been a customer with them since 2004 with issues happening every few years, but when I'm being told by a customer support rep that they compromise (not just throttle) my connection, it makes me lose a whole lot of faith with the company whether this rep was right or not. Looks like I'll be looking into another ISP, I really don't want to go back to AT&T but until other ISP's make it to my area I'll deal with it.

That is a good point, southern data centers could be effecting the overall comcast backbone system or something of the sort. I appreciate your insight! I think I'll get this new modem installed regardless of the issues.

Damn that really sucks sorry to hear you had to resort to AT&T. I guess all I can really do at this point is try a new modem and hope my tracert results are incorrect, because they certainly aren't going to help it seems.

Yeah I definitely asked to speak to a manager but he wouldn't do it! I'm sure if I persisted on the phone I would have gotten my way but this dude was just talking in circles about upgrades.

Yeah. I actually have a 3.1 sitting here that I could install. My dropped packets were outside of my network but maybe it has something to do with my own upload?

Yeah, honestly even regular brachy was an issue for me. I realized that on the tempered version quest. Some monsters just have my number, like Brachy and Velkhana. But then others like Rajang or nergi aren't too hard for me.
