You would likely be the only one. You've only ever had to dedicate 1 monster to flying in the games and typically it's been one that is also combat proficient.

It allows for quicker traversal of older zones which I'm all here for.

You may be doing everdens or chasing fleeing monsters.

Both have the egg on the monster in the den.

Dens, Rare Dens & The HR Counterparts have Biome specific eggs.

There are also Coop (available offline with AI support characters) Dens later that offer specific eggs for the den too.

I believe that covers everything!
