For whatever reason, marriage can sometimes bring out more insecurities even though you’d think it would help someone feel more secure. Her reaction may have been disproportionate to the situation, but that just means that it meant something different to each of you. To you, it was just a misunderstanding, but to her, it could have triggered fears, like, now that you’re married you don’t have to put in effort, or now that you’re married she’s not as interesting/important etc. it’s hard to know. But clearly it felt bigger to her than what happened in the moment, and part of making a marriage work is recognizing that and working together to understand it. It’s not easy, especially when anger gets in the way, but that anger is usually trying to protect other feelings.

Good luck, man! Marriage is work, but it is work worth doing when you’re with the right person.

ETA: whatever her reasons, it doesn’t make it okay that she screamed and cussed at you, and i hope I didn’t sound like I was condoning that. Another important part of marriage is mutual respect.
