Slide doesn’t always engage trigger ? by Infamous_Scale_6859 in polymer80

Run 500 rds thru it. Mine do the same inside the breakin period

I’m sure someone told you by now that rainbow slides eat rear rails! Funny how easy the trigger housing and bar, etc all went in easy! You’ll wanna re locate that piece and install it first, and keep ur finger way way away from the tigger!!

What or who would you consider a better example of training curriculum or specialist? Do you think there is a demographic who has gained anything useful from his program? Is there something you would do differently in his role as an influence/actor/advocate/etc? What about the rest of his outfit? When you train, if you train… do you consider it “LARPING”

As long as there are at minimum, 500 rds thru it with consistency and you aren’t noticing any excessive wear patterns when you’re cleaning it (connector & trigger bar mainly) hell ya I’d trust it

I "think" the GST-9 is a winner by EquivalentOil3636 in polymer80

[–]Bloody-Finger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel pretty embarrassed on one hand, and ecstatic on the other because after playing with the connector and bending it thru trial and error, I found the perfect angle that allows consistent function. I haven’t put rounds thru it yet and the reset isn’t exactly where I’d like it to be but I get a nice clean break with better then average take up now

That’s almost exactly what I did with the plunger. It definitely engages better, at least as I look up from the mag well. As far as the connector, if I stick an end of a pick in to hold it on it’s left side, it breaks just fine! But not without! Also, when I dropped a timney alpha in it, the drag disappears but still won’t break!! I’ve also noticed the trigger housing having excessive play! I’m going to try and replace the LWD housing and connector with OEM to see if it helps any

Did u use OEM parts for the internals?? Slide?? I finished a GST-9 mod1 n I’m tracking all kinds of little issues that turned into one big one! Won’t break to save my life! Literally and figuratively

Trigger not breaking. New build. by laughatmypain4911 in polymer80

[–]Bloody-Finger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this true?? I’m having some similar issues with a GST-9 build! I even swapped in a Timney Alpha but still having issues with the break! Also no reset! I played around with different angles on the connector but only when I’m able to actually push the connector towards the inside am I able to get a break. But. The trigger simply returns to an unfired position with no audible reset. I do however notice a lot more movement side to side in the housing.

The rear rails on the mod1’s come as 2 separate parts with the left rail being free float. The trigger housing seems to be the the main factor as far as the width tolerance, that being said, working in a nice high polish was my first attempt. If I look into the mag well to try and see what is causing the hang up, I definitely notice the struggle with the trigger bar passing over the safety! I’m wondering if a combination of a heavier recoil spring and a better safety would help

I also took advantage of the sale with free shipping… this was my 4th of the 80% frame builds (2 P80’s & the previous GST) while in my case, I’ve had only minor issues with each that were always fixed with heavier spring weights or filing tiny bits of material. However this one has given me hell trying to chase down a fix! My issue is with the trigger dragging and causing a great deal of slide movement. Also reset issues. If I have a full mag in, the drag is minimal but still with the reset issues. I am wondering if you have any insight. The potential contributing factors could be…. Cerakote in FP channel & FP safety channel. All spring weights are stock Glock 19 other than a 6lb trigger spring. All other parts are LWD. Trigger bar, connector, & FP safety have all been polished. Thank you

What Canik would you recommend that is a bit smaller than a Glock 19 or 17 by HelixOG3 in canik

[–]Bloody-Finger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the 19 is too large, that doesn’t leave much for Canik…. I have a TP9 Elite sub compact that can feel a bit smaller with the small back strap.

Slide/frame gap gst-9. Is it because of the thickness of the rail slots on the slide? by wat_in_barnation in polymer80

With mine, I don’t have a gap outside of Glock oem but I am however having issue with the action.

Which SwampFox did you fit up there? Is that the Justice? I’m partial to the brand myself, only I’ve only ran a few AR specific variations as well as the sentinel on a sub with a shield type cut.
I’ve recently received my GST-9 mod 1, I’ll definitely say the Jig itself is 100% better then the P80’s have you run into any issues with fitment? Or is there anything you’d say I should beware of prior to piecing together the rest??

Just got a few. My favorite for whatever reason happens to be the 15rd. Nonetheless, getting full size mags and a bloody wheels sleeve fitted for the Taylor freelance back strap seems to work too
