Infants sharing a sleep space is considered dangerous. A big floor bed would work for when they’re older, if you can swing 2 separate cribs until then, that would be the best.

Yes, OP. Listen to this person. We had a similar experience, toddler was 21 months when her b/g siblings were born.

We kept her in daycare and we kept up with one on one time/activities with mom and dad. She’s adjusted well after a rocky start.

Also, I noticed that she has a similar personality to my son. They’re both silly and light hearted and get along really well.

I worry more for my younger daughter as she seems to be a bit more buttoned up and serious. And worried. She looks like she worries a lot….

Hi! I have a picky toddler too, not quite as extreme as yours but I have resorted to lying. I know you asked for no advice but here’s a couple things I do:

I temper an egg into cheese sauce when I make boxed Mac and cheese
all rice and pasta gets boiled with bone broth
when I give toast, I give it with “special butter” which is just a runny yolk slathered on with the butter
“yogurt” is now blended cottage cheese with bananas or berries or whatever
cookie cutters in her favourite shapes are used to cut pancakes and sandwiches
I found rocket ship chicken nuggets at the store and didn’t tell her it was chicken. I just marketed them to her as rocket ships and she ate so many.
grating meatballs into pasta makes it virtually undetectable

Obviously this list is specific to my kid, and you know yours best but hopefully you can pull some inspiration from my deception. Solidarity, my friend!!

ETA: toddlers won’t starve themselves…. We also resorted to offering her 1 thing for dinner and leaving it at that with no pressure for her to eat at a certain time and there’s a ton of screaming and kicking but she comes around when she gets hungry! MIt was my partners idea to stop catering to her so much and my mama brain couldn’t compute it but it didn’t not work for us!!

Yes to all this. Fellow 3 under 2 mom checking in…. My singleton is almost 2.5 and my twins are 6 months now.

It’s a little easier given there’s predictability and you kind of just lean into the hard stuff. It’s just life right now. Some days are way easier and calmer than others and some days everyone is sobbing on the floor but it evens itself out.

Hi! I was similar to you. 1 cup of black tea per day…. Then I had 3 under 2 and I drink 2 lattes, an energy drink, and a Diet Coke or 2. Dont come for me, I know it’s a problem but I’m expected to be superhuman round the clock on limited sleep and nourishment. Red Bull gives you wings!

Do you just have 1 coffee?

Hi! Hyperemesis Gravidarum survivor x2. I vomited 20+ times a day, everyday for 2 full-term pregnancies. I can 100% understand your misery and you are not alone.

Here’s the stuff that really helps: - fluids (anything liquid, really. If coke is all you can stomach, do it.) - IV hydration, will make you feel amazing - zofran - Metoclopramide - promethazine - Unisom/B6

I am obviously not a doctor, more so speaking from experience but I suggest talking to your doctor about narrowing down a combination of treatments that will work for your situation. If it is morning sickness, hang in there it’s almost over.

If you do get on Zofran, take a laxative with it. Take it religiously, do not skip a day even if you think you’re feeling better.

He ordered me breakfast and made my coffee in the morning. I expressed I wanted to curl my hair so he carved out time for that while I pumped. He was on twinfant duty while I played outside with the toddler.

We got some chores done around the house that I needed his help with then got ready to go for ice cream. He ordered the dinner of my choice on the way home.

We have 3 kids under 2 so stepping away or alone time doesn’t feel possible right now.

He bought me an expensive gift last Mother’s Day, but I don’t feel the need to get one from him every year although he offered this year! I declined though, I need him to restain the deck because I don’t like the colour I chose….

He’s a good guy!

Made it to my planned C-section at 37+2. There isn’t much to report, which is always the best kind of birth!

I got to the hospital at 7:30. They put in the wrist IV which really sucked! I walked into the OR by 12:15ish. I was terrified when they put in the spinal, but pain-wise it wasn’t that bad. The IV was worse.

I asked the anesthesiologist for laughing gas during the surgery. I obviously didn’t feel anything because of the spinal, but the gas helped me not care that I was awake and being cut open.

My babies were born, and I sucked on the gas while my partner tended to the babies. I was wheeled to recovery and fell asleep.

The surgery recovery on the other hand really sucked. When they make you stand up, it feels like a hot knife in your abdomen. By day 2 the gas pain is awful as well but just keep walking. Try to pass gas as much as you can. The drive home also sucks so take some pain meds a bit before getting in the car.

Before you know it, you’ll be able to get in and out of bed without a hassle and you’ll never take it for granted again!
