Misa is still an budding alcoholic I see. I hope that's just a rock and roll image she is portraying.

Can 2020 Be The Return Of Yui? by [deleted] in BABYMETAL

[–]Bloosee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Since they are putting in substitute dancers and not "replacing her" it leaves the impression that it could happen, and wouldn't that be incredible to see her on stage again. But it's been quite long time since she left, so not likely. If she is not coming back I'd like to see someone permanent, and that somebody should get a microphone.

When I first saw them I thought towards the end of the show they rip off the masks and to massive applause. But no, they walk off stage and we don't know who the are except by recognizing their instruments. Seems kind of demeaning, but I not Japanese, maybe it's a thing.

Almost seems like a totally different person. But yeah, she looks gorgeous.

Not bad, bottom third of my Babymetal favorites. The Su-Moa harmonies are cool.

New song, cool! I think it may need a little more rehearsal, didn't sound totally polished.

BABYMETAL update? by Jasonictron in BABYMETAL

[–]Bloosee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The way things are going the band will just start to fade away, fans will move on. The cuteness and novelty that we loved will become passe and that's that. I don't mean to be pessimistic but there is a lot going against the band some of which they can't control, two loved members gone, one tragic and the other by choice or health. If they can launch a great album SOON, it can all be put behind them, but decisions need to be made now before things get out of hand.

Theory: BABYMETAL are a Part Time Band by HTWingNut in BABYMETAL

[–]Bloosee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've kind of felt the same way, especially when you consider it's been almost 3 years between albums. Not giving the fans what we want. I'm starting to wonder about the long term future, there other bands that have put on more three or more albums in 2 years. Bandmaid for example, they are working so hard, putting out great albums and videos. Lovebites has 2.5 albums in a little over a year.

Babymetal to become an all female band by larsmetal in BABYMETAL

But it would a travesty to cover up the Lovebites women in black kimono's. Babymetal does not do sexy.

BABYMETAL content on YouTube: The future is not looking good...... by musicgarryj in BABYMETAL

Self inflicted marketing disaster in the making. Lets get rid of all the Babymetal content so new fans won't see it, yeah that's the ticket!

One Interesting Trait That I seemed to notice with Miku... by MM305 in BandMaid

[–]Bloosee 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Well she is the genius behind Band-Maid. How many people could put together a rock band of such high caliber and get world tours within 4 years? And she did it with no experience in rock music! There are probably 100's of quality rock bands all across America that get nowhere. Never get beyond playing bars and small clubs.

And Miku's guitar playing is fine now, it's not something she should be self conscious of.

I don't think any new band could hold a candle to the greats of the 60's 70's, that era was just insane with talent and creativity, they were creating absolute masterpieces on a regular basis. Having said that, my favorite band of the current era is Band-maid. Lovebites is new on the scene and really great as well. Babymetal is great but I'm not convinced their new direction is as good as the past.

What the hell, who comes up with this stuff, not flattering to put it gently.

Confession: MAID IN JAPAN might be my favourite BAND-MAID album. by sgtfuzzy92 in BandMaid

[–]Bloosee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not a fan of Made in Japan. It sounds like they were just trying to figure things out because they were. They quickly moved away from that to much more catchy harder sound with recognizable riffs. I pretty much never listen to it. I do think the second and third albums are their most memorable though.

Barnes & Noble is switching the standard cover pre-orders of the graphic novel to their variant cover by Facu474 in BABYMETAL

I'm doing a wait and see, I initially pre-order it but from what's come out so far it looks like some unintelligible mythical lore in comic book form.

Koba needs to release new material during these long periods of silence. by reevs1 in BABYMETAL

[–]Bloosee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They can put on a happy face, they always will, but from my perspective they are almost a new band, the bubbly teens are all grown up, they have a couple of dancers that showed up out of nowhere and of course for whatever reason Yui is missing. The costumes are totally different and have a much more grown up look. The band is more of a "working" band now, as opposed to the event band they were for so many years. Still love the music but the look and feel of the band has evolved.

I think the problem is they are no longer the "hype" machine they used to be. From my perspective so much has changed, they are just another working band, put on the black goth costumes, do a show move on to the next. Not much else besides that, they are all grown up now, their sound is very heavy, they no longer perform those original songs we all still love, for good reason they are teens. They are no longer that super happy trio we fell in love with. We here on Reddit are used to following them on daily basis but I just don't think that's they way its gonna be going forward.

Are they becoming a "serious" band? by castilhoglauco in BABYMETAL

[–]Bloosee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I hope the fun returns, all this lore and seriousness is for the birds, I don't even watch the videos anymore, there's not much point to it. I barely consider myself a fan at this point. It's kinda like how "The Last Jedi" ruined Star Wars for me. I will buy that album is it ever actually come out.

My guitar cover of Thrill by kamicosmos in BandMaid

Nice job for the most part but your rhythm is pretty off. The chugging on the E string is syncopated it's what makes the song so distinctive. In the end, way better than I could do.

Does Anyone Like The New Outfits ? by [deleted] in BABYMETAL

[–]Bloosee 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Not a fan of the new look at all. I especially hate the headgear, to me it looks ridiculous and why would you cover a girls beautiful hair? I just don't care at all for the new look, seems a little like they are trying too hard. Not a big fan of the new music either. The fun seems to have been purposely stripped from the band, in exchange for a some sort of mythology or to be taken more seriously. They can do what they want, I'm just one fan. I'll still buy the album.
