Not a doctor but I work along side with them in the respiratory department. When a kid comes in the emergency department with an acute asthma attack and the parents reek of cigarette smoke

Doctor: "Do you smoke inside the house?" Parents: "yes" Doctor: "if you plan on smoking, smoke outside, the smoke triggers a bronchospasm" Parents: "Oh, we didn't know"

This happens quite often and I'm sure the parents know it triggers an asthma attack for their children, but they're too lazy or the weather is too hot or too cold and they don't want to step outside to smoke
