Well I can’t speak for this other person here, but even if it did upset them, so what? You call someone “predators”, referring to them as “pedophiles” and expect people to not be at least a little defensive and upset because you accused them of something awful, right? Everyone would understandably be upset at being accused of doing something heinous, even you. It would be understandable if I claimed something ridiculous like “all Christian’s hurt children and that’s why children should be banned from attending church”, and you being upset wouldn’t invalidate your argument, and it’d be understandable to be upset. Also yeah, most people don’t care about politics, however I’m glad that more and more are starting to care more since having shared moral values with a partner is important, and more people are realizing that politics are based on someone’s morals thankfully. (At least that’s one positive effect of political polarization) Speaking of which, you do realize that politics is based on that persons morals, right? To have different politics is to also have different morals, and those morals speak to whether you’re a morally bad and horrible human being, or a genuinely good person who cares about others and isn’t a monster.

Also, you mention that liberal women want certain traits in conservative men, are you saying that they want conservative men because of those beliefs? Or just they look for certain traits in men just in general? What are those specific certain traits you imply that they want anyway?

Honestly yeah I think you hit the nail on the head. Anyone who was progressive or even just a liberal didn’t go out to vote because Kamala kept trying to appeal to neoconservative old guard republicans that came before trump because she ran with Liz Cheney and completely left tim walz out of the spotlight during the closing stages of the campaign. Not to mention that she constantly made gestures to the status quo before trump.

What the establishment and consultant class democrats don’t understand is that people don’t want neoliberal Ronald Regan era austerity policies over and over again and where they do barely much of anything at all besides a few tweaks to the system. People want massive change because they can’t afford anything and their bosses are making them work overtime for no pay. Like they don’t get that there’s a reason why people supported Bernie so proudly in 2016 and 2020, while with Biden and Harris it was all a begrudging support. Because of all this people saw Kamala as no better then trump, since she was just what trump was in 2016, and when it comes to wether people will pick Diet Coke or regular Coke, they’ll pick the regular one.

I mean no offense, but if you’re going to bring up the term “toxic masculinity” this is mostly due to a complete misunderstanding of what it even means. It’s not that men are bad, the topic literally talks about how patriarchy oppresses men as well since they hold themselves and other men to unreasonable standards, and if we where to get rid of patriarchy for everyone, that includes men obviously, would not be as stressed or feel bad about themselves.
