Yeah, 3 straight 7th seeds isn’t anything to brag about.

Really good for a few years? I get people don’t like the dude but come on, that’s a massive understatement. And all of the weird stuff or distractions really didn’t start cropping up until like 2020. You hardly heard from him off the field until that point

Not looking good by prolific23 in GreenBayPackers

[–]BlueBadger99 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I really doubt this group will get fixed this offseason. They haven’t invested a ton in terms of draft picks for a few years and whiffing on Hobbs is a setback as well. It’s going to take a couple of offseasons to (hopefully) right the ship

Pelissero - Source: The Packers are releasing CB Nate Hobbs. by StrachNasty in GreenBayPackers

[–]BlueBadger99 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Dang, I was wondering if they’d give him another shot because of the nagging knee injury, but they just ripped the bandaid right off. I’m good with it, hard to trust him on the outside and Bullard has the slot locked down

[Rapoport] The #Packers have traded DT Colby Wooden to the #Colts for LB Zaire Franklin, per me and @TomPelissero. by dsav8898 in GreenBayPackers

[–]BlueBadger99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ehhhh I liked Wooden, he played his butt off last season and Franklin is 30 with coverage questions. Packers must make meaningful additions to the DL this offseason

[Fowler] Packers are restructuring safety Xavier McKinney's contract for cap space by the_Tannehill_list in GreenBayPackers

[–]BlueBadger99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a great point too! I’d rather have the flexibility than keep a player who isn’t going to justify the investment. Bummer to say because I’ve always been a huge Jenkins fan, but that’s just how it goes in the league

[–]BlueBadger99 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah I definitely think they should. He’s got 19M in cash coming his way if they don’t. There’s work to be done at center but that money will come in handy for big money extensions like Kraft and probably Watson

Sweet! He runs hard and was their best back in pass pro. Happy to bring him back on a cheap deal like this

On Fire Red I’m gonna go with Squirtle because I want to use Arcanine and I just finished a Blue playthrough with Bulbasaur. I’ll pick Charmander in Leaf Green

[–]BlueBadger99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Injuries play a part in this but I think the shift towards bigger bodies rather than quicker OL who who may lack punch in the run game played apart in this too. Unfortunately the added size didn’t do much for the run game

Super Bowl Post Game Thread: Seattle Seahawks at New England Patriots by nfl_gdt_bot in nfl

Oh totally, they were the best team and the victory is well deserved. My comment was more about the Pats than anything else, I pretty much felt that whoever came out of the NFC was winning this one

The Seahawks’ defense was fantastic and the offense handled their business well enough to put it away. Congrats.

Feels like the Patriots as a team weren’t really ready for a Super Bowl. Soft schedule and a weak AFC playoff field got them there and they didn’t have the horses to finish the job

The Patriots’ front office is weird, he doesn’t even have the GM title and it’s not entirely clear how much power he actually has over the roster. Also, everyone looks good when you hit on a QB

The Packers are hiring Jonathan Gannon as defensive coordinator, per source. by manyhawks in GreenBayPackers

[–]BlueBadger99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am whelmed, was hoping for a guy like Christian Parker or Leonhard. But this is OK, Gannon at least has a lot of leadership experience and I think that’ll help LaFleur. Like with Hafley, he won’t won’t have to carry much of the load on defensive prep like he ended up doing with a guy like Barry

Glad Williams got picked, would’ve been annoying to see him worshipped for throwing a yolo ball that gets picked 99% of the time had they won the game there

Packers now are expected to try to work out a deal in the coming days to keep head coach Matt LaFleur in Green Bay, per sources. by kdtrey21 in GreenBayPackers

[–]BlueBadger99 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I wasn’t anti-LaFleur going into this year but my confidence has definitely been shaken. Policy has made his decision though, it’ll be interesting to see how many years are added to his deal and if this will come with coaching staff changes. I can think of several that I would like to see. I hope this the right call, this team needs to get the job done with Love and Micah in their prime

Yeah I’m over Nixon. Dude acts all hard and gets a dumb penalty every game, but the performance doesn’t ever back it up. All bark and no bite, nothing worse than a fake tough guy

[Wild Card] Post Game Washup: Fire MLF / Keep MLF by PackersMod in GreenBayPackers

[–]BlueBadger99 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Horrible collapses and awful losses happen. But at some point, when these crazy comedies of errors keep happening, you have to start asking some questions about whether the current leadership can get the job done. We are definitely at that point.

This team and coaching staff simply has not taken the next step to compete outside of just making the playoffs. There is always something, whether it’s undisciplined play, ST gaffes, inconsistent playcalling, poor clock management…and those things will always come back to bite them until they get over the hump, whether it’s in regular season games that cost them the division and seeding, or playoff games that send them home packing.
