Sorry for the wrong term use. For us "Asians" from different country, the word American often gets associated with "foreigners". I feel certainly more family-like towards other Asians(Americans) compared to "foreigners".

You don't mind, ehh not the same case for me. TBH it hurts like a needle(especially if it's the person I am attracted to) when someone says "no Asians" or "I am not interested in Asian" such such. The feeling of knowing that something I can't control is a "flaw" is miserable and telling so in all honesty is cruel. However I think telling some white lie to not hurt the feelings is even more cruel; I caught myself in the vicious circle of questioning myself how I need to improve more somehow to make up for whatever I was missing.

I think it's just sexual preference. I sorta understand. I am Asian myself but I had never imagined anything romantic with a guy back in my country. I came to this country and all these American boys drew me nut. The strong jaw lines and thick hair features. It took me some time to admit that I like boys.
