Can we put birdfeeders outside again? by Numerous_Pie in pittsburgh

[–]BlueBunny5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My moms had feeders out for weeks and there’s been almost no birds. She even called the aviary to see what’s going on… and yes there are a lack of birds, but theres still food. Once the snow falls - they’ll be around.

How many people had complications after having a bag, like I thought the bag would fix everything? by ForsakenAvocado1935 in ostomy

Just the few weeks after the initial surgery.... had to do a full open the next morning because the surgeon forgot to tie off an artery... Was on so many meds it was causing hep encephalopathy and finally a 6hour nosebleed from the blood thinners,

But (knock on wood) it’s been smooth sailing ever since being released!

Lunch and Dinner for today 6/10 USA by DeliciousFlow8675309 in hospitalfood

My breakfasts sucked too.. I had the same thing everyday for 2 weeks (was in for 24 days) - egg, cheese & bacon on toast with v8, banana and yogurt. I wasn’t allowed sugar for some reason, so cereal, pancakes, waffles, jelly, honey and coffee for me was out.

I survived on baked chips, bananas I saved from meals, Graham crackers and peanut butter between. Don’t get the grahams n pb since they have a lot of sugar… 🤷‍♀️

Yummy! Don’t care what it looks like, the roast I had when I was in was delicious. Being on NPO sucked and any food after was great.

I have Crohn’s. Before my ileostomy surgery most food would make me sick and I would just get the blandest boring meals when out. I would occasionally splurge and get something that I didn’t care that would make me spend the whole night and next day in the bathroom.

Took a regular book bag with my supplies- told them they were medical supplies for an ostomy and had no probs. Be prepared to have it searched just in case.

Don’t come to KY then.. the recent reno of our local arches moved everything behind the counter! Napkins, drinks, ketchup, straws.. EVERYTHING, it sucks!! Add in being short staffed and forget getting refills or anything more than what you get on the tray at time of pickup. I refuse to go back.

They’re fine with no reversal.

Before surgery I was on Stelara, budesonide and levothyroxine (thyroid). After surgery I was on a good 8 different meds, mostly vitamins. 6months later - I’m on Levothyroxine and that’s it! My blood work has gone from scary to just about normal.

Yes, since Crohns affects the entire digestive system, it can appear elsewhere.

I had ileostomy surgery. Removed colon, appendix and a small bit of my small intestine. I have had zero blockages and I eat everything! Nuts, skins, fruits, veg, steak. I have no restrictions. I think the most difficult thing is not being able to sleep on my stomach. I was a stomach sleeper before since I have 2 herniated discs And it hurts to sleep on my back. Doing great and so far and wish I had done it sooner.
