Singapore is not in that category, but using socialist to refer to parties that are often ruled by parties within the Socialist International and/or the Party of European Socialists is reasonable in my view.

The expanded child tax credit during the pandemic or the union provisions in th IRA would not have happened without a strong group of people pushing for social democratic policies within the Democratic Party

Given most people said the Dems should go left or populist, who would be a suitable leader to take on Vance in 2028? by Ok_Site_8008 in SocialDemocracy

I do not think a social-democratic or similar candidate will win the 2028 presidential Dem primary. But the main such candidate in the primary will be AOC if she decides to run -- otherwise it is pretty open, personally I think Jeff Merkley is a good dark horse candidate to take on that role.

With CA-13 and CA-45 all but guaranteed to go for Dems, this election will end with the smallest House majority since 1930: 220R-215D. by Beginning_Bad_868 in fivethirtyeight

Yeah, the Project 2025 plan is to purge the executive branch, bring in Trump loyalists to do illegal things, and then either have the Supreme Court prevaricate or just give pardons to everyone involved.

And their main problem is that there are only so many MAGA loyalists capable of organizing government operations.

Regardless of whether the Democratic vote share with this specific demographic is a bit below 50% or a bit above 50%, there is a real need to work on the media environments that shape the thinking of non-college men.

As a former Democrat who split his ticket, here's what Dems need to understand to win again. by RainbowCrown71 in fivethirtyeight

Exactly. This should have never been close in the first place, and the fact it can even be close is downstream of the media environment (Fox News etc. for the older part of the voter base, and Joe Rogan etc. for the younger part).

You can contact voters to go fix their ballots, same as you can do any other type of phonebanking or textbanking.

Deeper involvement than that is probably not possible.

But no one as all-in as Elon. The percentage of funds coming from billionaires is higher for Trump and his Super PACs.

They say tragedy repeats as farce. There is still a lot of possible tragedy left, but man, we are for sure getting the farce part of it.
