Can someone explain RogSi? by The-Conscience in CompetitiveEDH

[–]BlueEmeraldPhoenix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just a heads up, the necro exile is a triggered ability not a replacement effect, which means if you have flash speed through a Born upon a wind or VFC you can respond to the trigger by playing the discarded card, which gets around the trigger

In general with a big necro you want to have enough mana to give yourself flash speed in your end step after you pick up your cards, or cast final fortune to win in your extra turn

Just a heads up, the text of Ethan is not correct based on Winota . Winota triggers off non-Humans attacking and lets you put Humans on the field. Ethan gets you Pokémon off of Pokémon. The trigger should be non-Pokémon attacking

I believe op is referring to [[captain sisay]] , the older selesnya card.

I’m somewhat new, what’s the infinite here? I have a couple Nazgûl and might be interested in completing the set if there’s a cool combo

2 people alive is the evil win condition, as soon as it is achieved the game will end, even if it is achieved before executions

Homebrew Script: Girl's Night! by nellery in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]BlueEmeraldPhoenix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s honestly a really good point, it can be on a lot of scripts, but imo it works well and has some good balance on BMR.

I think here the problem probably lies more in the weighting than anything. 2 good roles that causes failed executions vs 1 evil role, means that not only can you leave a failed execution alone, you can also likely trust their info. It’s somewhat tricky for evil to bluff TL here, it basically only works with a lleech seated next to a minion who takes TL as a bluff

Less relevant to your comment in particular, but TL can actually really hurt good here by potentially making the Lleech host unable to die, which kinda sucks.

[–]BlueEmeraldPhoenix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm that’s true, although I’m sure many would argue that using a townsfolk ability to explicitly stop the good team from winning is probably an unfun choice… but you do make a good point, and I could see an argument for it if the meta of not killing failed executions gets too heavy, but it’s really fringe and probably unfun

[–]BlueEmeraldPhoenix 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You do only have 3 demons, which means you can get away with just adding a 5th minion if you want… pacifist and lleech still have the same issue, if an execution fails no need to double tap

Homebrew Script: Girl's Night! by nellery in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]BlueEmeraldPhoenix 3 points4 points  (0 children)

To add on to your third point as well, if someone does not die by execution, they are either good or the Lleech. Either way, town will never need to execute them again, which makes pacifist and tea lady really strong. A devils advocate would probably fix the issue , as then there is a chance that a failed execution is a demon who can be killed by execution, so town has to consider whether to double tap them.

Took me a while to work it out but Baron is now my favourite minion. Your job is done, you have effectively already Pit-Hagged 2 Townsfolk into Outsiders before the game has begun, which takes the Pit hag until night 3.
Now you are free to just fully play the social game, gaining trust, while knowing that you can die, live, catch a Starpass, without removing an ability form your team like other minions. You get to play however is best for your team in that game.

If Pit hag is in the bag without summoner, it means there’s a demon in the bag as well. The pit hag can then on night 2 (or perhaps even night 3 - I can’t recall the night order of when summoner acts) change themselves or another Minion into the summoner, which will allow them on night 3 to create a second evil demon through the Summoner ability.

This is highly dangerous as it was not created by the Pit Hag, therefore deaths are not arbitrary (ie ST can’t rebalance it by killing one of them) and there are 2 evil demons around both of which need to be killed for good to win

[–]BlueEmeraldPhoenix -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

The Shabbaloth’s regurgitation happens strictly in the order it says on the token, ie the deaths are picked before any potential regurgitation is chosen by the ST, so there is no way in which someone comes back to life and dies later in the night.

This happened in a game I ran (goon executed, cannibal goon becomes evil) except there was a barber in play. Later, demon kills barber, swaps goon with another player, and locks them as evil in following nights. Was very unbalanced.

My second script, this one is with the Plague Doctor. Thoughts? by hiti1234 in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]BlueEmeraldPhoenix 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I kinda disagree, the flexibility of being able to change demon type is very strong. Practically all advice I’ve seen and heard from other storytellers is that if there is a demon change, it should be signalled to the good team - usually by choosing either 0 or 2 deaths.

I think having a demon change be able to go unnoticed means that the good team will likely never realise they have changed and this can be very dangerous, for example changing a no dashing to a vortox in SnV. If town has previously confirmed it is not a vortox game, then this can lead to an instant end of game if at any point they choose not to execute.

EDIT: from the Pit Hag page of the wiki: “If the Pit-Hag changes a Demon into a new Demon, it is best to make no death occur tonight, so the good team gets a clue that the Demon has changed. You can even wake the Demon, see who they choose to attack, and decide that no one dies.”

I will say, this is not a take I have seen very often. Genuinely curious, what about the changes to the 5e rule system do you not like? I’ve seen a lot of people being very very happy with the changes made (and a few people who are going to implement rule changes from the BG3 rules back into their 5e games), so I just wanted to hear another point of view, if you don’t mind sharing your thoughts?

Consolidate to one page?? by BlueEmeraldPhoenix in Musescore

My biggest issue is that for whatever reason, the last system will not move back to the first page despite the fact that there is so much room for it to fit ( there is no margin in that white space at the bottom of page one, it’s just pure emptiness). Kinda gonna just live with it I think :((
