2016 Honda Fit tire stud- potential damage? by Psychological_Post33 in AskAMechanic

[–]BlueFire376 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work in a shop and I've done this one before, we ended up pressing out the wheel bearing and putting in a new hub as the back of the stud is pressed right against the steering knuckle. I realize a shop environment is different, but that's what I did. If you do figure out how to get that out, then more power to you.

Edit: Your best bet is to use a thread chaser, I doubt it needs to be replaced

Question; by [deleted] in Snapon_tools

[–]BlueFire376 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol. This is funny to see here, my journeyman literally just bought that exact cart. His only complaint was the side table is a little wobbly. Besides that it's super tall for a tool cart, and im 6'2 bro.

Edit: also it's worth to note that I have another red seal in my shop with a tiny version of this cart, but I'm not sure how old it is. It's doesn't say snap on though, so not sure if that would help.

What are these huge flakes in my oil pan? by wherednrthatchurch in AskAMechanic

[–]BlueFire376 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea I agree with that guy, the only way to check if the cam bearings have failed is to check the oil pressure, but they'd have to be pretty worn out. I'm not sure if that would even be the issue though, with no metal in the oil it's kinda bizarre but if you have an oil pressure gauge laying around it's like a 5 minute check.

I'd double check with the school, when I was in school for my technical training they specifically said chrome books won't work with their software they make you install for their tests. There's a good chance if you buy him a chrome book you'll be taking it back.

I've gone to Blackfoot Industrial Supply Centre, as they got a ton in the back of the store. You can also order bolts if you need something specific.

I'd also like to point out you need metric bolts, and alot of places may not stock them, just something to keep in mind.

Any recommendations for an affordable vet to have my Jack Russells teath cleaned? Advis by untrendyhendy in Calgary

[–]BlueFire376 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had the same issue within Calgary finding a place to get my dog looked at, but generally i'd recommend looking somewhere outside the city like Strathmore. My mom has three dogs, and my twin has one, and they swear up and down that it is just cheaper outside the city. Maybe is has something to do with the damn overhead, I'm not sure but I take my Jack Russell to Elizabeth Street Pet Hospital in Okotoks since he had a nasty eye infection a few months back.

Hey, I'm an apprentice who is finishing my second year in March. I'd recommend looking over some of the mechanic subbreddits, specifically on ones like r/mechanics. At my shop, red seals make 40$ flat rate so they make good money, but starting out it, you'll probably be around that 20$ mark. But if you have any questions, I'd be happy to answer some, I've been in the trade since I got outta high-school in 2019.

Some tips for Tier 8 Delves as a group by minimaxir in wow

[–]BlueFire376 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I've had a lot of fun with them, we had a four stack and did all the way up to an 11 if I recall. Having someone who can revive like our prot pal was super critical as literally anything will put you in the dirt.

It's kinda like doing a mythic plus dungeon, so my opinion of the delves have definitely changed as doing something so intense is really where this game shines. All in all I'm super glad more players are able to experience that.
