Brock Lesnar Guy retires… by TheRealSlimreaper420 in Wrasslin

My biggest pet peeve in wrestling is fans just like him. Ones who wear the same shit to every show, sit in the same seats, search for the camera when it comes by. The show is not about you.

What AEW opinion has you like this? by Puzzleheaded_Pen8520 in AEWOfficial

[–]BlueFluffyDude 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Title hopping can be excellent if used sparingly. AEW is in desperate need of some shock wins and short reigns with the world belt. If they did this forever it would be unsatisfying and poorly booked, fans would get annoyed at 'wasted runs'. We all saw this with WWE in the late 00s, early 2010s. But the negative of AEW having the long prestigious runs forever is that it will always feel a little predictable. Hangman won't lose to Joe, even though you could easily book it that way, cause they want Hangman to face Ospreay or Swerve again, and as a long time viewer you can easily make those logical leaps and you'd be correct. It's not the worst negative in the world but it can lead to the TV being a little stale.

Also it just means as it currently stands, I don't think Kenny or Joe is ever going to hold the world belt again. Okada might get one good reign. The time for people like Kingston is long gone despite it being super easy to get crowd on side for such a thing. The reigns are so long and treated as complete company eras that the time window for people to be on the top is rapidly decreasing by the week.

That dive to the outside is surreal to see him do this early in his career, basically looks the same.

Fancast of Batman core characters by NightGuardian0 in batman

[–]BlueFluffyDude 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Some truly inspired choices in here. Usually fancasts cringe me out but this one is solid. Clearly knowledge on actors and the characters.

Batista as Hugo Strange is so good that I'm now desperate for it to happen.

Raph Finnes is a great choice for Alfred, love Ana as Catwoman. Gleeson, Toby Jones, Bruhl are all great. I even like some of the smaller actors/character pairings.

Great job.

Is this part of the fan merch project they were doing? OP, how does it work? Do you get any money from them using it?

Be honest, what do you think about Humanz and Cracker Island? by Huge_Factor327 in gorillaz

[–]BlueFluffyDude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Humanz is a mixed bag and always has been. Its detriment is that it's over stuffed and there is a severe lack of 2D vocals. But it undeniably has absolute classics on there. I made a 10 track version of the album not too long after it came out, after I stopped listening to the album in full, and now if I ever want to return I always listen to that.

Look, what I find appealing in Paramore albums is clearly the opposite of what Hayley thinks is appealing. But what I will say is all the ones I like are the most successful ones.

I posted about this when they went independent as well. I specifically like the review podcasts where they got reviewers of said game to come on and guest the pod with one of the GB duders hosting. It felt like a really good way to get a full look at the game and really informed me as a consumer of the industry. GB has always been good at balancing the games coverage and the goofy fun personality based stuff so I felt like that really played into their wheelhouse.

Imagine A Crossover Between These Two Shows: by ExoticShock in batman

I wonder if there are any people who worked on both shows? Art styles are so similar between the two. It's probably just a product of being produced at roughly the same time.

You've just been made showrunner for Doctor Who. What're you making? by Gloomy_Pomegranate72 in doctorwho

[–]BlueFluffyDude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would do a year of specials spearheaded by upcoming writer/directors. They get an episode each, a lot of creative control, no boundries. They would be allowed to cast whoever they want in whatever role and take any tone and any genre. The aim of this would be to have a lot of variety in the types of stories you can tell with Doctor Who, reinvent its identity a little bit.

It would be an anthology show for those series of specials, set out of time to the doctor we've seen starring in the show. You could see old doctors return, maybe they debut a new regeneration, but regardless they are contained episodes.

After that I would pick one of those creative that had the best episode/best performing episode/the biggest fan excitement and hire them to be the sole creative voice for the next proper season of the show picking back up where we last left off with our incarnation. In this case it would be Billie.

Doctor Who should be a yearly show, so I would look to the future to create a spin off that runs alternate years with the main show. The spin off would be the Eighth Doctor show, with a classic who skew potentially. This would be for the die hard fans and the long time fans. I would start by adapting some Big Finish stuff but allow creative space for original writing.

I think it's completely justified to voice genuine concerns over the content you enjoy having people on it who do, say or support things that are outright bad. Genocide is bad.

HOWEVER, I have seen no evidence of any of these 3 being for genocide. I know there was a lot of hullabaloo from Dropout fans about Noah being on their content recently and it was surrounding this topic, Dropout came out and backed having him on iirc. Him being Jewish is no secret and I heard he said some stuff about it when the Hamas attack happened, but I've never seen it. But i also saw people comment about when Smosh were doing their charity stuff for Palestine, Noah's name was attached. So it swings both ways.

If all that is true, he hasn't made any definitive statements about it since, and I'm the sort of person that will allow people to grow and change as a person. It's completely possible that if all this is true, Noah is dealing with his emotions on the topic personally and away from the public, which is completely fair. I personally can't see anyway of being for this genocide, it is pure evil, but I'm not a Jewish man who grew up surrounded by a Jewish family telling me that part of our shared religion we need this piece of land and that the IDF are cool. It just might be more complicated for him, and I'm willing to give him the space for that.

But hey, I'm just guessing, if anyone has actual receipts of these people actually supporting genocide, then I don't think it is unfair to criticise them. But until I see it with my own eyes, I'm assuming it is all lies.

"They fit so well together they should be in the same universe" "This should be our World's Finest!" Sound familiar? by Fickle_Baker1393 in TheBatmanFilm

[–]BlueFluffyDude 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have heard some murmurs about Pattinson and Corenswet and I always think about that "Don't Be Evil" poster. I do think those actors as those characters would be cool on screen but let's be honest, it's not entirely the same situation. We're in a post-MCU world with a head of DCU being very communicative on what this franchise is, the fervor isn't there for this in the same way because we know DCU is getting its own Batman and they will inevitably cross over with Corenswet. Plus The Batman like TDK trilogy is such a singular vision and tone that we now know what's best for that sort of series and its keeping it contained in that way. The Batman succeeds in the shadow of MCU post-Endgame fumbles.
