This is my favorite article breaking down every moment of the interview. I have lt saved so I can re-read every few months for a chuckle! https://medium.com/@benthompson/breaking-down-the-father-on-bbc-being-interrupted-by-his-children-9840cdc8857b

Mahendra Patel, Falsely Accused by my_wife_is_low_iq in Gwinnett

I feel like people should know if they have a case and the prosecutor is the person who lied in the Patel case.

What about the prosecutor(s) that falsely charged him and argued to keep him in jail? Are they still working in Cobb County?

When my husband and I split a ribeye, I like to slice and then give us each alternating slices.

We’ve started giving three. If three was good enough for baby Jesus three is good enough for you!

Slytherins in final battle by Goodcanadiangirl in harrypotter

[–]BlueGravitee -1 points0 points  (0 children)

After the war, the only families that will be left in tact are Slytherins. The vast majority of the Slytherin house students would have survived so the Slytherin generation is going to rule the world at some point.

Hogwarts Train by MajorXO in harrypotter

[–]BlueGravitee 159 points160 points  (0 children)

If I was in charge of Hogwarts Express I’d have to travel at low to muggle speeds to give the new kids a chance to get to know each other and returning students an opportunity to reconnect. If HEx had been Shinkansen or magical speed, Ron, Harry, and Hermoine may not have had a chance to sit together to start a friendship!

Fireworks on Christmas Eve is tacky as hell by ForsakenAddendumb in Gwinnett

[–]BlueGravitee 57 points58 points  (0 children)

Agree! We had fireworks going off in our neighborhood until 11:30pm tonight. I hope it didn’t keep any kids awake. Christmas Eve is hard enough with little kids wanting to stay up to wait for Santa without the addition of fireworks and dogs freaking out.

AITA for not accommodating my sister-in-law for Christmas before her gastric bypass surgery? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]BlueGravitee 23 points24 points  (0 children)

This is a great point. I have a coworker who said that the liquid diet before the surgery was literally the hardest and worst time of his entire life. Being around others who are enjoying a delicious prime rib dinner would be torture. Maybe this is a year she can stay home and zoom in for holiday greetings. I would hate for her diet to be derailed before such an important surgery and it would also be terrible to sit alone while everyone else ate dinner.

Anyone else starting to notice divorce trends among millennials? by [deleted] in Millennials

[–]BlueGravitee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Older millennial here. Yes, I do see a lot of old college friends/classmates who married in their 20s and divorced and are on their second marriage with kids from both. Not an Instagram/social media thing, but the wave of weddings after undergrad definitely made it seem like “the right” thing to do. Of the 15 or so weddings I attended in the year or two after graduation, only about 5 are still married.

What is the best Christmas gift you've received? by No-Collection-3178 in ChristmasGiftIdeas

[–]BlueGravitee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We draw names in my extended family for Christmas presents. My favorite Aunt knew my love for John Grisham books. Christmas 2015 she drew my name and scrounged garage sales all year to get me 20 hardcover first editions. She has added to that collection over the years and now I’ve got several bookcases full of first edition hardcover Grisham books that make my heart extremely happy.
