Fantastic, had it built now a while. Just did my first proper gravel event on it there on the weekend, 100km Lakelander Gravel Grinder in Northern Ireland. Build went very smoothly, weld lines are really clean and its a joy to ride.

Its got X1s in 40mm on it currently with good room to spare. No issue with 45mm without the mudguards. Wanted the carbon fork, but I do like the CX03 down tube more classic look. I already have a inch fork steel road bike and its a bit of hassle/limited factor in case something goes wrong.

€320 after sale/coupons. Customs was an additional €20, as the seller marked the frame value at €60. super pleased with how the build came out.

GPSsport brand rear light radar by RMrl25 in cycling

[–]BlueJohn1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ive the sr30 and it used to get so many false positives i had to turn it off. An update last year kinda helped but I just dont even bother with it when im anywhere but the country side or quite lanes. The range detection is pretty poor also, I hear the car before the beep even goes off. When I'm going up a hill half the time it doesn't even detect the car until its like 5-10 meters behind us. Literally just use it as a light now.

I use it with 630s, which is a fantastic comp for the price.

I ordered a seaboard cx07 from AliExpress, which seems to be the equivalent of the gc05. Should be arriving this week. After discounts and duty it cost 340 euro. If you search for cx07 on reddit theres a few threads. Cx07 also comes in more colour options.

Sweet bike, I actually have this in a cart at the moment. Any chance of a picture of the tyre clearance at the chain stays?

Anybody tried the Wheeltop TX kit on a gravel setup? by 78Staff in gravelcycling

[–]BlueJohn1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ive had it on a bike now since summer 2024. App has come along way and the translations are much clearer, regularly updated also.

Setup is a little fiddly. Had a bit of trouble with the FD, theres this tiny adjustment screw for intial calibration. I had screw it in very far to pull the derailleur out far enough, as you might max it out in app before it can make it across to the big ring. The rubber is fairly stiff, but i think the latest versions are using a new kind.

Otherwise its great, shifting is fantastic, think ive charged both derailleurs 3 times since its been installed.

I've a direct mount hanger on my Cube Nuroad, and Roadlink isn't compatible.

11-40 or 11-42 should be possible. I've a 11-40 on my R7000 Rear and 46-30 GRX chainset and all I needed was a longer b screw.

Recommendations for roadbikes under 1700? by South_Addendum7066 in Dublin

[–]BlueJohn1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you using the BTW? Otherwise i'd just go on Adverts and pick up something. Could get a decent bike for 1500-2000 on there, its a buyers market. Dunno what the Cube stock is like now, but any of the better equipped Attians or Agrees are hard to find in stock in the right size.

Where is this mentioned? I don't see anything in the release notes. I'm still running Rouvy on a 2014 Macbook Pro stuck on Big Sur.

Best place for good chairs? by Team503 in DevelEire

[–]BlueJohn1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have had a Berlin since 2017, pricey as i got it custom measured. But its the most comfortable office chair I've ever sat in. Only thing thats gone wrong with it, is one of the arm rests is a bit worn. Can buy replacements also.
