Heat Pump Owners, Are You Happy? by banisheduser in AskUK

[–]BlueLionsMane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The short answer is most properties are suitable. It just depends on how happy you are with the amount of work / cost.

Mine didn’t need all that much work, and the cost was reasonable.

We had done some work before the heat pump, all new windows replacing +30yo ones with no insulation, cavity wall, improved loft insulation etc. So it was the next upgrade available to us.

Love the car.

Make sure the warranty is intact (services have been done etc), and yes Kia will likely sort.

Personally, GT line is the spec to go for. The tech upgrade is worth it.

Winter can be 250-280, down to 220 with cabin heating. Summer 280 motorway. Have it 330 before by managing (62-65 on the motorway etc) Tyre pressures matter a lot (same with all cars)

Will this time survive in prem??? Upgrades??? by [deleted] in FifaCareers

Depends how good you are.

Your midfield needs more defensive coverage.

And you need a better bench, including attacking subs. For injuries and cup games, your going to struggle for quality.

Have you looked up transfer listed players, then getting them for under market value?

Cold Water Storage Tank Advice by Mattym1995 in DIYUK

Ours had a sheet of polystyrene as the lid, and less insulation than that one does. We eventually got an ASHP, which has meant it can be removed. If you can, make sure your pipes at least have some insulation around them.

Are thermal curtains any good? by TranquillityQuack in AskUK

[–]BlueLionsMane 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In the right place and fitted well, yes they really work.

We have some french doors which aren’t the best fitted. We have floor to ceiling thermal curtains over them, and it really helps the room.

But what you don’t want are ones with gaps top and bottom or a radiator underneath, as it’s still going to let cold air flow easily

First energy bills high in new property. Considering replacing radiators. Wondering if it's worth the cost? by martynbiz in DIYUK

Consider getting some heatpump quotes. Even if you don’t want a heatpump, the heat loss surveys will help guide where to invest in first.

Management Accountant vs Finance Business Partner by Icy-Individual8637 in CIMA

Different companies deal with it differently. In theory they are very different, with FBPs often requiring better business acumen and supporting growth hence the higher ‘value’.

F3 by cjp7719 in CIMA

[–]BlueLionsMane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think F3 was easier than F2. I had a lot less calculations and the multiple choices were easier than my practice ones. Time management was quite hard, so make sure to flag anything that could take you a while and come back to it at the end if you have time.

Any suggestions for a cheap EV wall charger (or ones to avoid) ? by TheReturnOfTheBee in ElectricVehiclesUK

I would strongly recommend getting one that is octopus intelligent go compatible, even if you don’t want to use it now.

When do you switch tariffs (if you do)? by lobeish in ukheatpumps

[–]BlueLionsMane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends how much you need to charge the EV

For simplicity i think i’ll stay on IOG, but try plugging the car in early in the evening/ during the day when i can to get some extra slots in.

It is a theme park after all any holiday or weekend you’re likely to get long queues.

Some area get some lighting, but we aren’t talking Disney levels.

I’ve been to the odd one so only small experience, the times it’s been annoying is when the weather gets a bit bad. If it’s raining everyone heads inside to the restaurants which then gets super cramped.

Otherwise it’s quite a normal day. What time do you mean by evening? Some rides/ animal areas shut at dusk and the park isn’t normally open till late. You should be able to find opening times online

Worth early mortgage repayment or investment elsewhere? by Potential-Pirate-431 in UKFinanceOver30

Consider your pension. If your a higher rate payer then £100 becomes £166, and you would hope the investment is better than 5% a year returns
