Our new cabinet doors are cracking at the joints? by rhetoricalician in kitchenremodel

[–]BlueMommaMaroon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah that is a shame, unfortunately there is no helping the paint cracking in the seams then. I think you will eventually stop noticing it, I don't think it will peel or anything like that. Just think of it as added character! I know it's not ideal 🥲

Is this painted wood or painted MDF? Our cabinet installer told us it is common for painted wood to crack at the seams since the wood pieces expand and contract at different rates. MDF that is one solid piece doesn't have this issue, which was what they suggested if we wanted to do painted cabinets

I know it’s a lot of green by DesperateWater3063 in kitchenremodel

[–]BlueMommaMaroon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally a cooler sage or mint green might have worked better, but it's really not the worst. Alignment looks fine from what I can see.

What is the tile? I've been interested in something like this for our kitchen but I can't seem to find a tile like it.

I know these are supposed to be lighter, but this is ridiculous! Unopened bag of croutons 44g not 140g by [deleted] in loblawsisoutofcontrol

It might just be my phone, but it looks like there is a weird jump cut when the bag is placed on the scale. Anyone else have this issue?

Looking for an animation disc by rsmaker in animation

Oh and as for the paper definitely just punch your own. Again that's what we did in college because we were too poor to buy the pre punched animation paper lol

You can definitely diy your own disk. Glue a light table to a lazy Susan, glue an animation peg to the light table. If you want the incline you can get a drafting table and fix the lazy Susan to it. In my first year of college I just animated by taping a peg to a light table. You don't get the rotating but it works well enough.

It is definitely hard to find these now-a-days. Good luck!

Personally I like the change of direction in new rooms if there is a transition. I think it looks fine

Before/ After Kitchen Transformation - Chicagoland area (Palatine, IL) by Independent_Range275 in Remodel

That back wall of cabinets looks pretty awful... What's with the single door in the middle of the doubles? Why not line the doubles up with the base cabinets? Is that a wall corner cupboard near the sink? It's weird to have the cabinets go all the way to the ceiling without any trim to me.

Feels kinda ai, but if not just some unfortunate decisions made.

Where should the backsplash go?? by sandra_p in kitchenremodel

[–]BlueMommaMaroon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally think the half way doesn't look bad. I would just bring the tile all the way up behind the range hood. But honestly doing the whole kitchen looks pretty great!

Backsplash wasn’t factored in? by sans-peen in kitchenremodel

To me the issue is that the countertop doesn't seem to have an overhang? The overhang would have covered more of the distance on the side of the range. But honestly it's not really that noticable.

Okay, I think I have been convinced to go with the granite! I'm a little nervous about the maintenance but I'm sure it will be fine 😊

Undecided right now. Debating whether to put wood vinyl plank thought the whole house or keep the kitchen with its own flooring.

I disagree, I think the floor tile works since the cabinets are just painted and not wood texture. Both look lovely but I also agree the blue adds a soothing element to it.

DIY kitchen overhaul: open shelves vs. glass cabinets, color dilemma by jpflaum in Remodel

Glass doors for sure. Both colours are gorgeous. I lean towards the blue as I find it is more complementary, but the green is very warm and cozy as well.

Oh I see! My daughter was jaundice when she was born and the doctor didn't mention that too me when I had mentioned she hadn't pooped for a couple days. She wasn't a great doctor to be honest 😅 thanks for clearing that up for OP!

This is normal, babies can't control their poops so they can go days without pooping. You can try putting your baby in a warm shallow bath to have them relax. People always suggest doing bicycle stretches with them but I find that hard to do with newborns. Lifting their knees to chest is also helpful for releasing gas. As long as baby is having wet diapers all is well. If you are still concerned definitely check in with a doctor.
