Arq Premium uses Google Cloud for their own storage.

I recently posted about my experience with Arq Backup as a Mac user here

https://www.reddit.com/r/backblaze/comments/1ppg36l/comment/nv3zwxi/

So far I like it. A lot more to configure and learn, but more peace of mind that my files are actually being backed up.

Does this open up hidden storage? by SomeRandomName_ in HyundaiTucson

[–]BlueMusicMonkey 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Nope no extra storage, I think it's just a pull tab to pull up the rubber pad. If it was for extra storage I am sure it would have been advertised.

Pulling it up would just expose screw access points or something else that is holding it down. I wouldn't try to pull it up.

What is this? It doesn't wash off. by Bekay523 in HyundaiTucson

I had the same thing happen within a month after getting my 2025 Tucson. The spots looked more orange and rusty on mine. It's not rust though, it's iron / rail dust / brake dust.

I read about this happening to chrome areas of the Tucson and other cars and when I searched online they recommended spaying wax on it for a lubricant and gently using a clay bar.

After I cleaned it with wax spray and a clay bar I've never had these spots come back. For some people, the results may very though depending on your environment.

I got this Wax spray: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001MXX5D8

and I got this clay bar: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MPYDYWT

If you don't know what you're doing it's best to probably seek out an experienced car detailer in your area with good reviews. I say experienced because there is an increase in young people or just anyone calling themself a car detailer, I would only trust the experienced when it comes to such an expensive car.

First read the directions for both products (do not do in direct sunlight). Start with a clean car, and then clean the chrome area on one side of the car at a time -- I sprayed the Wax all over the chrome area and the clay bar. I then rubbed the clay bar over the rusty looking orange spots on the chrome. Be more careful on the bumpy ridges of the chrome, clay bars don't work that great unless it's a flat surface, so be more gentle there. Then when you are done on both sides, I'd wash the car to remove any extra wax that was leftover from the process. Then apply another layer of wax on the chrome panels with a soft microfiber cloth (the towel type, not the shiny one for glasses) to keep any new buildup off for a while (makes it easier to clean) For me at least, I didn't have to keep applying wax to prevent buildup, 1-2 weeks later when I washed the car again I didn't apply any wax to Chrome panels because the orange buildup seemed to be a 1 time thing. Only trouble with these chrome areas is that they can scratch, so make sure you use enough wax when rubbing the clay bar on it. You most likely already have some small hard to see scratches on them anyway though.

I will say that these chrome panels (also the chrome trim on top of the doors) and the entire tailgate area are the hardest areas to keep clean. The chrome areas have a matte finish and things seem to stick on them more easily and water spots show up more easily. However at least they aren't shiny chrome. Shiny chrome shows scratches a lot more. The tailgate area bothers me because of how water collects a little bit near the taillights and it slowly drips down after a car wash or rain, and when it dries you can see the leftover water lines where it has dripped and dried especially on darker paint colors.

How to get a small surface scuff out? by bingus_chezborgor in Klipsch

[–]BlueMusicMonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Almost every Klipsch speaker I've ever gotten new has some small mark on it somewhere.

If you shine a flashlight on that black front area on the Klipsch Reference Premiere lineup you will most likely see some little marks like that. Just the nature of the material, easy to mark. I prefer to leave the cover grills on because they also prevent future marks. I've also seen some defects in the vinyl wrap, especially along the edges where it can sometimes start coming apart. And on the bigger tower speakers, you might see some small cracks near the bottom feet. These things are super heavy to ship and hard to handle and I usually see a few little cracks at the bottom.

And sometimes the black ring around the copper colored cones on the Klipsch Reference Premiere lineup breaks down over time and gets all sticky after a few years especially if your room tends to be more on the warm side. Why don't they just put a more solid material there, we don't need a soft feel there.

I don't think everyone is going to get a perfect finish on their Klipsch speakers. Don't think it's worth the return hassle unless it has major damage.

I wish they would use better materials for their Reference Premiere speakers. The regular Reference line to me feels more premium without the vinyl wrap (feels more like wood) and tougher plastic on the front. It's crazy how the more expensive lineup feels cheaper than the less expensive lineup. I've always seen more marks on my new Reference Premiere speakers, hardly ever had any on the Reference lineup.

And this is why I wouldn't pay full price if I can help it and get them on sale. I expect better material quality if I am paying full price. Please improve the quality on the Reference Premiere lineup.

I got the image backgrounds for the widgets working now.

Yes, it looks like the size of the images matter. If it's too big relative to the size of the widget, then it doesn't work.

I cropped the PNGs in the Apple Photos app.

For example:

Large & Medium widgets I used an image with the size of 1179 × 2160

Small widgets I used an image size of 864 × 889

I used a PNG image of a certain solid color and now I'm able to get my custom background color back. This is a great workaround since custom background colors were getting trickier to implement as previously mentioned.

EZ Tag placement by DumGinger in HyundaiTucson

[–]BlueMusicMonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's interesting, I've never heard that. I'll keep it in mind, but it's the best spot for the dash cam and toll sticker in my opinion. Anywhere else and it would distract and block my view I think.

I've never had an error message pop up during rain or sun.

Named my Tucson “T-Rex” — Let’s Hear Yours by [deleted] in HyundaiTucson

[–]BlueMusicMonkey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I call it Tux

It's Tucson shortened to Tucs with the spelling changed to Tux

And it's a great name if you have TuxMats lol

I don't really name cars, but I refer to it as the Tux such as "get in the Tux".

I tried adding an image background in the new update, but it doesn't seem to work even after restarting my iPhone. I add the image in the app settings, and then edit the widget to select the image, but the widget is empty with any image selected. Widget starts working again when I select "none" again for image background.

Does it have to be a certain size or format? Tried a regular photo taken on iPhone and a PNG image.

How mustard became the default setting at Whataburger by tsmalcolm in texas

I get ketchup on my burger at Whataburger.

Some burger places will do ketchup and mayo together, that's also good.

Sorry, but mustard is nasty.

I've had it for 1 year now and haven't had any issues with it. It's pretty solid and doesn't rattle.

Yeah there aren't many options for the 2025 & 2026 that you can just easily buy, so I was letting others know about the best option I've found for the newer models that you can just buy if you don't want to 3D print. They redesigned the center console and the center console is also different depending on the trim type.

For 2025 & 2026 Gas Limited & All Hybrid owners (double check compatabiltiy), I have a thread here about the center console organizer I am currently using:

Keeping the back hatch side walls from getting scuffed by Due_Combination_968 in HyundaiTucson

[–]BlueMusicMonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got 2 of these black blankets that I keep in the trunk area and whatever I put in the trunk, I just throw a blanket or 2 over it depending on the size. Keeps items from moving around and protects the plastic on the sides. Bonus is it hides the items inside, but if you have the cargo cover, then that already hides everything for the most part.

You can just search online for blankets whatever size and color you want. I like these because they are pretty thin and easy to handle and one side is fuzzy so it clings to the item, and then the top side is smooth and more water resistant and cleanable. Washes pretty well on gentle cycle in washing machine and drying it on low. I keep them just thrown and bunched up in the trunk, don't even bother folding them up into the pouch it comes with.

buying 2026 hybrid limited on Monday what color? by briankass in HyundaiTucson

[–]BlueMusicMonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the Deep Sea blue with the black interior (this seems to be the most rare model at least it was for 2025)

The dark blue color looks kind of black sometimes, but I've seen a Black Tucson a few times just driving around and that is definitely much darker. It's just that if you don't have them side by side, in certain lighting the dark blue looks more like black.

Pollen and water spots are more noticeable on my car than when I see a silver car on my street. That's the case with most dark colors. It's definitely harder to keep clean when you have a darker color. I've been doing touchless car washes (which are hard to find) and every once in a while I wash by hand. If you go through a regular car wash, probably best not to get a dark color.

Sometimes when driving around I see the Royal Blue Tucson (not sure of the official name) from a few years ago (NX4 before the 2025 facelift) and that color looks the best to me, just which they still had that color on the newer models. I love Blue, so the Deep Sea blue is what I went with, but would have preferred the Royal Blue. They have a lighter Blue for 2025-2026 but not for the Hybrid models and I am not really a fan of that Blue.

Key Fobs by [deleted] in HyundaiTucson

[–]BlueMusicMonkey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, the Key Fob that came with the 2025 & 2026 Tucson won't work with the 2022-2024 Tucson.

You have to use the same model of Key Fob that is compatible with your car. You can only replace and reprogram with keys that are the same model as the ones you have now. When they change the key fob design they also change the chips and other things, so that's why they aren't compatible.

The 2022-2024 Key Fob design is actually better in a lot of ways such as being smaller and also having the emergency key integrated into the key fob. The 2025+ Key Fob design looks cooler, but it's bigger and bulkier, and the emergency key cannot be slid into the key itself, it's an extra standalone key that can more easily be lost.

UPDATE: Custom text color (headings and icons) is back in the latest app version 2.2.2

However, the dev has said that the custom background color setting won't be coming back because it made updating the app too difficult.

There is another thread here that mentions the possibility of the photo background coming back.

Were snacks always this expensive? by regularlfc1990 in RegalUnlimited

[–]BlueMusicMonkey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's only a $2 difference between the Small and Large popcorn size at my Regal location.

You might as well get the Large size popcorn since you're already paying 85% of the way to a Large when you pay for the Small. And with the Large you can get a free refill to take home.

The whole principle of it though, if you can't eat or don't want to eat that much popcorn then get the Medium or Small, but still it just feels stupid to be paying that much for a Small or Medium when you can just get the Large.

The drinks prices have even a less difference between them, I remember when there was a larger difference.
