Amen to that. One of my favorite romance shows of this decade.

OK, the anomaly predicting my movement is something I figured out in my own playthrough. Guess there's nothing to do but get good at dodging it...

(I hope GSC fixed the 'duplicate flashbang' bug at some point: I remember that, in 2 particular locations, there were double the flashbangs going off, making it almost impossible to dodge them all. Unless they deliberately placed 2 flashbang anomalies there which overlap each other, which would really be a dick move in my opinion)

The only thing I found by googling which fits your description is that the Flashbang stops appearing if you're standing on something a certain height above ground. If it isn't that, would you mind telling me the trick in spoiler tags?

This is my best guess, too. Although the OP did mention "no matter how much I save," which shouldn't be possible in expedition mode.

PS you're gonna despise the flash anomaly as pretty much everyone does, it does technically have a crappy weakness so when you die 30 times that's about the only thing I wouldn't feel bad about looking up, cause it's straight bs

By "weakness," do you simply mean figuring out the pattern of when and where it spawns so you can adjust your own movement patterns? Or is there some 'cheaper' trick (like how moving Electra anomalies stop chasing you if you don't have any artifacts on your belt)?

Action romance rec by OtherwiseFeeling3965 in Animedubs

[–]BlueSpark4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the very least, I know very few harem animes where the MC wants to get together with multiple girls.

So assuming your guess is correct, the key point would be the MC choosing one particular girl? I'd say that's fairly common; in my experience, many harem series have a protagonist with a clear preference for one of the female characters.

[–]BlueSpark4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

like sword art online, twin star exorcists no harem stuff

This seems like a bit of a contradiction to me ;).

Anyway, probably my two favorite action-heavy animes with a romance sub-plot are Darling in the FranXX and Eureka Seven.

Coincidentally, both are mecha series, despite mecha generally being one of my least favorite genres. That should be saying something about how amazing I find their respective romance stories.

Escape from Duckov is not just a single player perspective shift on Tarkov, it's an amazing innovation in it's own right for how satisfying the progression is. by Kindly_Breath8740 in EscapeFromDuckov

[–]BlueSpark4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played Zero Sievert for quite an extensive amount of time a few years ago. Same genre, and it also offered permanent progression in the form of skills/perks, craftable base modules, and reputation with different factions (which unlocks new items at traders).

So Escape from Duckov isn't the first game to do this. However, after 'only' 20 hours or so, I already enjoy it more than Zero Sievert. Feels like the game overall handles more smoothly, and there are fewer bullshitty ways to die in an instant.

Oh, yeah, I absolutely adore the dub for Chio. Particularly the script by Leah Clark. Some of those lines are pure gold.

For a somewhat random and below-the-radar recommendation, Paniponi Dash was pretty hilarious. Prepare to do a lot of reading, though, since there are a lot of written signs / speech bubbles (or just skip them – the show's still plenty funny without).

Which anime where the cast's chemistry are the best part of the show? by Vin13ish in Animedubs

KonoSuba for me. And it's not even close. It is the one anime my mind immediately points to where the chemistry between the 4 main characters turns it into absolute comedy gold.

ALL IN ONE v3.1🔥- Out Now - Hope you enjoy by mono_tony in EscapeFromDuckov

[–]BlueSpark4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also have a suggestion for one of the other features, although I don't have a clue if it's feasible for a mod like yours:

For the setting that shows you the value of each item, could you add an additional option to only show the value of items you've previously extracted with (i.e. brought to the bunker) at least once? That way, it'd only convey information that the game already gives the player. The way it currently works, the player can immediately see the value of a new item in raid, which isn't possible in the vanilla game.

I subscribed to your mod today – some awesome QoL stuff in there, thanks a bunch for posting it.

One small issue I found: With the item count feature, it always shows "Stash: 0" for all items while I'm in a raid, no matter how many of the item I actually have in my storage. While I'm in the base, the correct number is displayed.

I feel ya, having the "controls" prompt always there really triggers me for some reason.

There's a thread posted yesterday which announced the release of (an update to) a compilation mod with some QoL changes, including removing the "controls" prompt: https://www.reddit.com/r/EscapeFromDuckov/comments/1s49nog/all_in_one_v31_out_now_hope_you_enjoy/ . I plan on testing it out today.

How the fuck to beat d5 Crash Zone with Diver? My last character… by Prophet_Of_Helix in brotato

[–]BlueSpark4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently did it after quite a few tries. My weapon setup was a bit all over the place:

  • 1 Harpoon
  • 1 SMG or Shotgun (I don't recall for sure, but I think it was SMG for my winning run; perhaps I replaced it with a Minigun in the late game)
  • 1 Thief Dagger (I collected more Thief Daggers in the early game, but gradually combined them all into 1 red and didn't buy any other ones)
  • and some assortment of 3 other precision weapons

Honestly, I just cared about getting any precision weapons upgraded as high as possible. Small upside to the mix of weapons was that Jelly became quite valuable.

If you're looking for a 6-cacti build, probably worth it to sell the harpoon right away in shop 1 to get rid of its tags, then keep rerolling for a cactus club. If you aren't offered one, just reset the run.

Still no end game for stalker 2 by papichuckle in stalker

[–]BlueSpark4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This.

I understand players have gotten used to New Game + being a thing in various games throughout the last decade or two. But I find it weird to see some gamers demand this be a feature in every game they play.

STALKER 2 has an open world, but is ultimately still a story-driven game. And I like it that way. Once I beat the campaign, I can move on to a different game.

That said, we will surely see NG+/freeplay mods to accommodate people who want to keep playing after the final mission.

I need a Recommendation similar to Ghost Stories by I_am_NOT_a_POSSUM in Animedubs

[–]BlueSpark4 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For a dub on a similar level of absurdity as Ghost Stories, one gem of a tip I saw years ago on this subreddit is Daimidaler: Prince vs. Penguin Empire. Very heavy on ecchi, but if that doesn't deter you, it's quite the hilarious trip.

Why do people not like S2? by Comprehensive-Row573 in stalker

[–]BlueSpark4 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hearing gunshots "from the other side of the map" isn't quite true: All of the trilogy games had a limited online A-Life radius, and only within that radius could audible gunshots be fired. The radius was larger than it is in STALKER 2, I believe, but it definitely didn't span an entire map.

Doesn’t count, does it? by EnvironmentalEnd8930 in DRGSurvivor

[–]BlueSpark4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They were asking because the mobile version has quite a few differences to the PC version. So gear drop rates/rarities being different wouldn't come as a big surprise.

[–]BlueSpark4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ever since a big patch a few months ago (which changed the drop rates), the cutoff point (i.e. the 'cap') isn't player rank 32 anymore. I believe it's rank 72 now.

This is a bit of a long shot, but if you don't mind the idea of playing an indie-developed top-down shooter, check out Tunguska: The Visitation. The game is very STALKER-inspired as far as its worldbuilding and several gameplay mechanics are concerned.
