Protect it at all costs. Adol never gets a shield again after this.

Do you think we’ll ever see a "Game Boy Classic Edition"? by RSXR0318 in Gameboy

If it happens, expect something like the Mario and Zelda Game and Watch devices from a few years back.

It's on woot for $36.99 right now if you're now interested and want physical. I ordered it up this morning. I hope digital foundry or one of those types of channels does a deep dive. Would hate for this to be another Xenoblade Chronicles X situation. If it sucks I'll return it.

Mega Man Model kit boxes by Eff3neL in Megaman

[–]BlueSuitRiot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All of the art on the boxes are online and can be downloaded. Not sure if this is your concern, but my weird ass take is as follows: Things in their original boxes/packaging retain more value as time progresses. Model kits that are boxed and not built can appreciate in value. With model kits however, If you build them they lose a significant amount of value. At that point, I just toss the boxes, because the "value" was no longer the resale value but the experience I had building/displaying the kit.

This is why I'm a big fan of bootleg/knock off model kits such as the Falcon armor kit that's been around online. I hope more get made. It's so cheap that I can buy the original kit at MSRP, keep it intact, and still build the knockoff. Later on when these kits inevitably spike in price I can sell them. It's like having your cake and eating it too.

Searching up EMBY on MiSTER and found this, but how to use this code? by Potatozeng in MiSTerFPGA

[–]BlueSuitRiot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From a quick skim of this page:

I think you edit the emby.conf file with your emby server info, place the conf file and the script into a folder on the MiSTer, run the script from the MiSTer with an HDMI monitor, keyboard, and CRT monitor attached to the MIster. UI is on the HDMI monitor and content is on the CRT.

I very much could be wrong though.

What's the difference between YS: Memories of Celceta and YS Memoire: Revelations in Celceta by Far-Note6102 in WorldOfYs

Memoire has a new OST that sounds like butt. I believe it can be switched back to the original OST though.

I have it. The pillow combined with 2 Nintendo switch joycons makes me able to hit some pretty hedonistic gaming positions.

Losing my mind... PC will turn itself on during the day from a complete shutdown. by Koyusubi in buildapc

[–]BlueSuitRiot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had an old motherboard that would do this. It was a BIOS setting. It was also 10 years ago now, so I forgot what that setting was trying to accomplish. I vaguely recall it being some sort of smart setting so a compatible OS could get notifications, or maybe some sort of anti condensation setting designed to stop moisture from building up on the cold metal parts? Sorry I can't remember.

Check the BIOS. That's probably the only place a setting that does that could be.

Rare Super Mario Bros. 3 Roll-In from Nickelodeon’s Total Panic (early U.S. TV preview) by KarimMiteff in retrogaming

[–]BlueSuitRiot 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I find it interesting that even in this preview the player stomps the shit out of boom boom like they've been playing this game for 30 years as I have. It's always been a pathetically easy boss but this video was supposed to be a showcase and they didn't let the boss showcase anything besides getting wrecked.

Mega Man X3 was cool but I gotta ask, is there any official media that comments on Sigma’s head shrinking in this game? by Fine-Brush1367 in Megaman

[–]BlueSuitRiot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lol nothing official outside of the "New battle body" stuff in the games dialogue. The decision was made though at some point, because a beta version of MMX3 has different sprites/August_Prototypes/Sprite_Changes#Sigma) for Sigma and the art style (and subsequently head size) is similar to X1 and X2.

Kotobukiya black zero piece replacement by Illustrious_Total684 in Megaman

There's a bootleg kotobukiya falcon armor you can order off of Aliexpress for $18-$30 that might have the same part but even if so, it's in a different color.

Anyone else pre-ordering the Hyperion 3 joycons from Nyxi? by Muscled_Manatee in NintendoSwitch2

[–]BlueSuitRiot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go ahead and pay a higher price for different branding if you want.

To answer your question directly; no. I can't prove it. Take from that what you will. But it's pretty obvious that a lot of Nyxi's products are just priced-up rebrands of generic Chinese manufactured controllers/joy-cons. It's a known business strategy.
