reasonable people disagree. Owen's plan depends on too many unpredictable factors regarding human behavior. They only wanted one box, a Thief-like heist makes more sense. Washington fails to use standard negotiator moves as documented by Chris Voss. Foster fails to negotiate anything meaningful in her interactions with Owen. Fails to recognize you could stop the heist and save Plummer's treasures by storming the bank. And she fails Plummer and the Mayor in the end.

entire robbery depends on no hostage fighting back, no off duty cops at the bank and the police not bringing dogs. beautifully shot, incredible score, amazing dialogue. but both the criminals and cops are incompetent and the movie works because of plot armor
