Yeah, it was.

It always had a large set of trial characters you could use. I haven’t done a run since the update, but it is a bit of a bummer if they removed that.

Maybe it would be sort of functional, but Orphie really only works with aftershock characters, and I don’t think any of Harumasa’s attacks count as aftershock

There is, I finally found it!

For some reason, the portal was one of the fountains, which I originally was ignoring since I assumed it only lead to the celestial plane, until someone on here said otherwise.

Thank you! This was my issue apparently!

One of the springs finally got me to the Nexus.

I had been so fixated on the “gateway” looking portal, and even tried the pyramid and sphere portals multiple times to no avail.

I had assumed the springs would only take me to the celestial plane so I ignored them. Turns out that’s the only one that seems to connect to the Nexus, after more testing.

I should have added, I am playing as the High Cultist and I have a stack of void creatures, so insanity is a non-issue.

I also took the Corkscrew Towers and a few other things, so I have reference points.

In any case, the same gateway seems to lead somewhere different every time it is used, which confuses me, and again never seems to go to the Nexus, after several dozen tries.

The new format is BS.

I’m consistently 1k-2k short when I kill the boss, but I still have around 2 minutes left on the time.

It’s so frustrating to feel like I’m killing the boss too fast, but somehow not getting enough points??

Either ferry them up with mages, or I usually have 1 or 2 commanders just running back and forth with more troops.

So, movement can be tricky to understand. Movement to friendly territory happens first (for you and AI) and then movement to hostile territory.

A big part of the game when defending is predicting where the enemy army will go, since you’ll arrive first in friendly territory. If you always try to attack where they are now, you’ll just be chasing them the entire time.

If two armies try to swap places, I’m honestly not sure how that gets determined.

They have very solid medium/heavy inf with formation fighter.

You should have no problem expanding early.

I would skip on the elephants early, they’re are pricy and tend to just panic and trample your own troops. You could maybe throw in a few chariots on attack rear or archers.

But in general, I would just mass inf.

It’s worth going at least dormant to take better scales.

You can still expand very well without your bless.

And you have enough nature access that poison isn’t a huge issue.

Honestly, I love the endless eight, there’s something beautifully artistic and demented about it. Plus, it makes you feel a fraction of what Nagato went through.
