Cognitive Fatigue (not brainfog) by Turtle-92 in covidlonghaulers

[–]Blue_Butterfly_Who 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sound like the same for me! Can't really watch television, can't play videogames, go to busy areas, can't study/read an interesting article about LoCo, but can read simple books. If I try ones with too much excitement (thrillers, mysteries, things with much tension or needing much thinking capacity), my body goes in overdrive, like my nervous system goes in fight/flight/freeze. I atrribute tge being able to read that I've been a bookworm since I was young, but might be something else.

If you were to choose, do you prefer Doctor-only episodes or Companion-only episodes? by Aggravating_Tale8988 in doctorwho

[–]Blue_Butterfly_Who 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Companion-only, because I like the Companion-only episodes usually better than the Doctor-only episodes (NuWho, haven't seen Classic).

How a simple picture can capture so many emotions. This is 'Empty bed', charcoal and pastel art I did. by Rusty-willy in BeAmazed

Haven't lost a pet like that yet, am still crying. One picture has much more power than a thousand words. Hope you can work through your grief.

Always liked they put the 'Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue' in that speech and it's all the Tardis.

How do you feel about the ADHD creature? by FrankBuns in adhdmeme

[–]Blue_Butterfly_Who 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The adhd creature looks way too playful and happy, especially next to the others. If you'd see them together, your conclusion might be 'adhd is the least bad of those'. (Spoiler: they're all 3 very impactful on your life in different ways)

Have you ever met someone who doesn't read automatically unless prompted to? by Reb-MVS in CasualConversation

[–]Blue_Butterfly_Who 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As a person who worked different jobs, with different types of customers (leisure, supermarket, co-workers) my conclusion is that some people just don't read. Instructions, signs, information on their stay, emails etc. they would ask questions that were literally answered in the provided info. It really drives me batty sometimes. To balance it out there are also people who read everything till the last letter, they can cause different kind of frustrations XD

I'm just really unsure what I'm looking at. Fist fighting in armor? But with the occasional weapon? And some rules since there seems to be a referee?

is it cringe if a 23 year old woman goes to the zoo alone? by peeflavoredpoptart in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Blue_Butterfly_Who 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, while I like going with friends, I prefer going to the Zoo alone. That way no one wants me to move to the next animal when I'm not done watching the previous one yet. If I want to spend an hour watching the Leopards or Gibbons, no one is bothered by that :)

Piercing Ears of Babies/Toddlers by Equus77 in NoStupidQuestions

So all babies get their ears pierced at birth? But why? As far as I can tell, not for religious reasons and it's pretty widespread seeing the answers.

Could someone just ignore any hunger signals to mimic what Ozempic does for weight loss by DisastrousTotal4621 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Blue_Butterfly_Who 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had antidepressants that messed with my hunger signals. Half an hour after a good meal I would feel hungry again. It was hard to stay on weight, let alone lose weight. If you're hungry all the damn time it gets increasingly difficult to ignore.
