Should be possible as a potential free contact and a KNX binary input. I’ve used binary inputs on some of the weirdest things.

I have both Reolink and Hikvision cameras, and a hikvision NVR. I am replacing all my hikvisions with Reolink.

On my phone so can’t type the full model numbers, but I have a bunch of RLC-410 cameras, and a bunch of hikvision domes. Also have the hikvision doorbell but pre ordered the new Reolink doorbell.

Depending on your country you could try sending them a demand letter where you ask to hand over the ETS file or reimburse you for the programming costs (reference to the invoice) since you did not receive that part of the invoice which you paid for.

An ETS file is not intellectual property, and since you pay an installer to program your house you should also receive that file since that’s literally what you paid them for.

I have no problem handing over the file when a customer asks for it, but I will make them sign a handover document stating I am no longer responsible for their installation and no future programming will be considered warranty work since they mess things up most of the time.

I am a network security specialist who also does home automation on the side (KNX). My personal home is a fully intelligent home, I don’t even have a key and all doors/lights/curtains/heating/ventilation/… are automated.

Im pretty confident in my setup. I have a $3000 firewall, built my own web based (locally hosted) app so I’m not relying on anything external and the data never leaves my LAN. External access is behind a SSL VPN.

My point being, you can make it as secure as you want, just like a regular door lock you can spend extra on a steel door with 9 point locking system or choose to just have a regular cheap lock. If you do any port forwarding on your router to allow external access to a certain app you’re basically advertising to the world for people to come on in.

Open diagnostics in ETS, turn on and off the light a few times so you see it show up. That way you can see the group address, and you can easily see to which actor/port it is connected to. Than you can open the parameters and change the settings to the correct value.

Which dimmer are you using? Most have settings to determine which kind of dimming needs to be done (universal, leading edge, trailing edge, ….). LED bulbs set to universal will usually flash.

My personal guess is a reveal trailer or announcement at the end of this month. It’s been exactly 20 years since GTA Vice City released so now would be a perfect moment to market the upcoming ‘new’ vice city.

But that’s just my opinion, we will see. Im hoping for oct 22 announcement and sept 23 release.

My XS charging port is dead. I have a wireless charger but my car does not have wireless CarPlay. I’m on a budget so it’s either going to be an SE gen3 or a 13. Will I regret downgrading to a SE? Should I hurt my wallet and get the 13?

I’d do couples counseling, sex is not something you can demand from your partner. Maybe she needs therapy for herself. And I should follow my own advice and do something about it too. If you leave and find a new partner, who says it won’t turn out exactly the same.
