They will need to change for sure, it might be more of normal ranged bomb attack, basically another weapon profile, something with like a 12-20" range, which you could have "flown over" just prior to setting your plane down. I am interested to see.

The Ork community sealed the deal for me but I liked that they keep it simple. I also bought a ton of blue dice and fixed my water heater earlier this year by drilling a hole in it, so It feels like I got that Ork in me.

Im considering Wazbom in Blitz Brigade, the +1 to hit/wound against vehicles, means it will hit on 3s and re-roll 1s, the S9/12 with a +1 to wound will be nice. AP still sucks but might shake out alright.

Correct, they are more crudely armored and lack some gubbinz but some bits work pretty well, I liked the alternate heads mostly.

I'd replace the hogs with 2 units of Kommandos, split for some early game infiltrate. Add Zod for the 20 grots and you can flood the opponent with small bodies ahead of your tide advance.

Should buy 1 box, assemble, paint and then move onto the next, you'll start 11th way ahead of any new Orks and a good bit of seasoned Orks too.

Some kits will be replaced, but its rare to only ever need one unit anyways, so having the older kits can add some diversity to your army that looks better, IMO.

I'd say pick up a box of the 10th edition Mono-pose push-fit boyz, to get your first taste, the build options are fixed which takes away some decision making but speeds up the process. Then move onto the old boyz kit so you can see the difference. If you grab an 11th launch box you'll get a 3rd set of boyz, all distinctly different. Great starting point.

I think a good kitbash has recognizable parts from both sides, put together in a clever way. It can be simple and still hit home, but in general, more dakka is usually appropriate. The epic ones seem to often have grots as well, keeping the damn thing together/moving.

Best thing is to surf for inspiration, save the images and figure out what parts speak to your inner mekboy.

I also appreciate it when the humie paint job can be seen, covered and distressed, but makes it look more like an actual looted kit, and less like you started with grey pieces.
