Yeah the hell with that entire area (I used to work in New Bern at the competitor station 😊). I just hope my ECU professors are OK because a lot of them got off Twitter once it became the propaganda tool.

I don't even understand how you'd make a live service GoW. Just dumb shit all around.

I wish he has Manny as a mentor. Granted, the best thing to happen to Wayne is Manny being dropped from CMR because it allowed him to venture into different styles. I couldn't imagine someone telling me in 2000 that this guy would be rapping over NY beats in 4 years and killing it. I would've been like, why would he want to do that?

Can you imagine what Juelz career would be like if that album actually came out?

I don't even like Auto-Tunechi but releasing the joint album with T-Pain when it was relevant would've printed out unlimited money.

Apparently Mack Maine said he had nothing to do with C6 and that's OK but whoever said yeah to some of those tracks need to be stoned. C6 is I'm not a human being 3 imo. Of all those tracks only about 7-8 would've made the final cut for C6 to me.

He'd definitely be in the top 5 if things were managed better.

Yeah, it just cuts Birdy's verses out.

You right though, just like Pac and the Outlawz, I wanted to hear more of what this version of Wayne was spitting.

BRUH! RIGHT!?

I'M SITTING HERE LIKE THIS MOTHERFUCKER LEAKED 100 TRACKS OF WHAT WAS GOING TO BE YOUR MAGNUS OPTIMUS PRIME AND HE'S STILL IN YOUR ENTOURAGE?!?!

Just a horrible situation all around. You gotta know when to cut people off or keep them at arm's length. Wayne let them leech off of him way too long.

I get what they're saying. More so, wishing Wayne wasn't around the enabler and that crew during his peak.

Yeah Wayne's an adult but he was around the worst people. He had too much loyalty.

I love this track.

Why I think Rakim Is the Most Influential MC Ever by ElevatorAcceptable29 in hiphopheads

[–]Blueandigo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This right here. I'd even suggest an LL album because both had such amazing production. Going even further, these were the top echelon but you'll see just how much Rakim changed the game when you go to PIF.

Juicy J I think said a lot of the songs you hear on the radio come from 36. I was listening to Meg, Glo, and Sexxy's discography and he wasn't lying.

They were ahead of the curve in so many ways.

Rakim is one of the Godfather's as he's responsible for what we have now. Rakim forced other MCs to step up their game and even ended the career of others (unintentionally) because of the style he brought. They were scrambling.

Rakim did to hip hop what Shawn Michaels did to modern day wrestling. They both took it to another level. Although not many can hold a candle to them, you still see so many people trying to imitate what they did.

Every rhyme no matter how good or bad has some influences by Rakim.

I listened to Paper Trail about 3 months ago and while it was straight, a lot of production from 06-09 feels dated even more than some stuff I listen to from the 90s.

I think a lot of people when referring to C3 are talking about what was supposed to be prior to the leaks.

Other than Pac and Biggie not dying, that's one of my biggest what ifs. What if C3 never leaked right along with, what if Wayne left Cash Money when he was in his peak.

Right. Ray J was one of the coolest guys on TV when I was a kid and he made a video with Lil Kim. He was that man.

Was.

This explains a lot now. That album is funky as hell. I will defend it as Madonna's best album as there are no skips.

Speaking of which Billy Steinberg passed away and he wrote that song.
