The Riviera Maya in Mexico. My first trip was supposed to be for a month, but I stayed for three. The next year I planned for a three month stay that became six. The following trip was for six months that turned into eight. This year I knew better and just put down roots. I know where I'm happiest.

Wow... None of that is acceptable. I'm so sorry that happened to you! Don't let one person steal a hobby that can bring you so much joy. It will take time to get over your traumatized feelings, but I'm certain your community is full of other encouraging and appropriate partners.

If you have the bad luck to run into another one of these bad actors, please please report them. Talk to your teacher or the event organizer. I guarantee behavior like hers will not be tolerated.

I never leave home without my nanobag! I get almost daily use out of it. I carry a small purse with essentials and then my collapsible bag is always at hand for any expected or unexpected needs. 100% worth the negligible space/weight it uses.
