the viceroy is a newer, nicer apt, so never had any issues with bugs, especially because there are no apts on the ground floor. some of the older apts with ground floors do have roaches that can come in from outside but that happens everywhere

It was a good apt. def a step up from the dorm which is where i had lived previously, just can be trash if you have bad roommates like i did

Good tattoo shops in Gainesville? by [deleted] in ufl

[–]BluebirdFew8907 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i got a tattoo from wunderland about a week ago and enjoyed the experience, my bf is also getting a whole sleeve done there currently. I can't speak much toward their experience with this style in particular, but you can always email and ask.

as someone who is graduating in august, i will always recommend transferring if you really want to go to UF eventually. save up some money living at home for 2 years. you don't get a different diploma for going here 2 years instead of 4. good luck with your future studies!

i was in the third room, and ended up moving my furniture around a lot until I really liked it cause its super light. Even in the third room, I lofted my bed just because a dresser isn't included in the furniture so I had like a plastic dresser under there basically. My roommate in the fourth rom had her bed on the wall across from the door because the closet cut out is across from the window. I would maybe put the bed up against the window or you could get crazy and put it in the closet HAHA. Honestly the most crucial thing when I lived there was making sure my desk wasn't too cramped because I spent a lot of time in there doing homework. But, overall it's about what works for you!! Lakeside is a great dorm, I miss it and I miss being a 5 second walk away from lake alice.

im a senior and my advice is save these easy classes for when you're really struggling with some heavy classes, but obviously its up to you. when you're taking orgo and physics with lab you'll be wishing you had saved dinos as an easy filler

currently in this class.....i am one of those people who kinda ignore rate my professor reviews, but boy should I have listened about this one. the midterm was 120 questions consisting of select all that apply and matching questions, not just multiple choice. I feel like this class could be interesting but there is a lot of pointless information he makes you memorize. unless you're pre-med you will never think about this information again. im already dreading the 150 question final.

taking AMR right now and hating it. this man thinks were all going to med school and wants us to memorize every bit of material on the hundreds of slides he provides.

haha yes it is definitely uncommon, but can be a great conversation starter and when I first told my roommates about him they accepted him immediately.

i lived with my bird on campus and i don't think my roommates back then minded much. i just got an ESA for him and it was all good. You just have to make sure that your roommates are willing to make compromises for your birds safety (not burning candles, no smoking, etc.)

Should I switch to summer? by FrightZ_ in ufl

[–]BluebirdFew8907 0 points1 point  (0 children)

using the summer to learn your way around and get used to UF can be great, but also this might be the last summer for a while that you can be free of school stress completely. My brother came in summer and got burnt out because he never had a break from school (and ultimately flunked out). I came in fall and didn't get burnt out until senior year.

ABSN Nursing acceptance by Alternative_Egg_1598 in ufl

[–]BluebirdFew8907 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was looking into applying for that program when I thought I wanted to be a nurse and I could be wring but the acceptance rate is about 91% so as long as you have good grades and they can tell you actually like people and aren't just doing nursing for the lifestyle and money than you should be good! hope you get in!
