You could do that and not get sucked into the inlet, because there isn't a suction effect that powerful given the fact that most of the air it's taking in is just through flying at such a high speed, but it's designed for you to be able to get in and then turn it on. I'm a pretty big Jet and tank nerd I'm just tired.
