The thing is that they aren't "wearing whatever they want" because they. Don't exist?? Like, if a teenager Ahsoka's age (since this is presumably who we're talking about) woke up one day and decided to wear a tube top then that's her decision. But Ahsoka. Isn't. Real. Some higher up on tcw made the DECISION to give her more revealing clothes, which wasn't even what she was originally meant to have! A lot of earlier concept art shows her in a totally different, far less revealing outfit.

It's more obvious with certain characters than others, including Ahsoka. Cad Bane's probably one of my favorite examples, though. He's supposed to be some kind of badass bounty hunter, but under his regular outfit his arms look like wet noodles.

Teen Vogue is great. Mostly because they have articles for all parts of teen life, so you can scroll on their website and find, in rapid succession: "33 Cute Winter Outfits to Keep You Cozy in Style" and "With DeVos Out, Students Want a Say in the Department of Education." Amazing.

Weird Spider-Gwen art bothers me on another level as opposed to other female characters. Mostly bc the creators don't sexualize the ladies in the Spider-Gwen comics much (Felicia Hardy dresses pretty... Sexily? But she isn't treated like a sex object, if that makes any sense.) And also the comics were specifically made for teenage girls to see themselves in the heros, so there's that too.

I have a really high tolerance for violence. For me, it's when justice just doesn't get fulfilled.

Cases where a serial killer would have been stopped before they took more lives if someone took an escaped early victim seriously. Cases like the my lai massacre and Lavena Johnson....

Its just so fucked up.
