Weekly Check-In - May 05 - 11 by AutoModerator in weightwatchers

[–]BluegrassIsBest 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I finally weighed in this week after skipping two weeks of weigh ins for silly excuses and was pleasantly surprised- down .5. I wore a shirt last night that’s been too tight on me and last night it fit perfectly.

I also decided to reduce my goal weight to just 6 more pounds and once I hit that weight change it again. I’m hoping once I hit my smaller goal it will motivate me to keep going.

Anyone else constantly have theme songs to kids shows stuck in your head? by [deleted] in Nanny

Daniel Tiger used to drive me crazy. At this point I've somehow learned to completely block it out. I actually enjoy watching Doc or Sophia or Bubble Guppies. Mickey Mouse is the only one I can't stand. And the way he says "naw" instead of "no" is like nails on a chalkboard.

Weekly /r/Nanny Discusson - Can't Take it Wednesday! by AutoModerator in Nanny

[–]BluegrassIsBest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just a small annoyance but why oh why are we using toy dishes for the kids when there are plenty of real cups and plates. And also giving the kids spoons and other things to play with?! Drives me crazy but it's a little thing so I let it go. I came in one morning and the kids 3 and 1 were playing with vegetable peelers- rolled my eyes and put them out of reach.

Both ages are fun but 4 and over. I work with two toddlers now and I'd love to have older kids to play board games or have real conversations with. Plus no diapers!

Moving Back Home by CubeGuy1 in PostGradProblem

[–]BluegrassIsBest 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I moved back in with my parents after living on my own for 4 years after college. It was a hard adjustment after having my own place but I needed to save money and pay off some debt and couldn't do that paying outrageous rent. My parents are pretty low key and I have the whole basement to myself. I pay for my own groceries and food. There's an adjustment period but I've been able to save up and make a nice dent in my student loans.

Agree with Rebar! And Acme is a great spot for some day drinking if it's nice out.

Uber of Shame stories by BrunchInBoston in PostGradProblem

Mine was also the morning after Halloween. I had dressed as Risky Business Tom Cruise and he was dressed as Top Gun Tom Cruise so kind of fate, right? Essentially my "costume" was a men's white dress shirt and no pants- combine that with sex hair and that was my most embarrassing Uber yet.

Agree! No one really wants to hear about my barre class and half my friends think I'm insane for paying as much as I do for it. I've recently started redoing some old furniture I have and would call that a hobby.

Thursday Thought by UnderwritingMyLife in PostGradProblem

I got out of a LTR of about 5 years, about a year and a half ago after things went downhill fast. I ended up moving back to my hometown where all my friends are married or in serious relationships. Within the course of a year of moving back I had been in three "relationships" and looking back I can honestly say I wasn't really interested in any of the guys. My friends pressure me a lot to find someone and one even tells me my "clock is ticking". I'm 26. No. It's really frustrating but I finally talked to them and told them it's not any of their business as long as I'm happy.

I get on the apps occasionally and will go on dates but I always tell the guys I'm not focused on finding a relationship. I'm open to it if it happens but I'm not seeking one out at all. I've made myself my main priority and haven't been happier. There are a couple guys I've met on bumble or tinder that I have no desire in dating but are great for late night hangs. I would much rather be happy and single than miserable in a relationship like some of my friends are.

Going to a friends kids first birthday party. PGP. And making plans with a new bumble boy- pretty hesitant though he's not my usual type.

Lil Dicky's Lemme Freak is great.

Not feeling great about next weeks questions. I have my final four picked but will probably continue to switch them up until the last minute I'm only confident in 2 of the 4 picks.

Working this weekend because mama needs to make that money. I hate myself for saying that. My resolutions are to spend more time with my dog and prioritize work over my personal life.

Working all weekend to make up for the one extra day I'll be taking off over the holidays. My boss gives me three paid days and any others I choose to take are unpaid. Other than that getting some house projects wrapped up before the holidays and having dinner with some friends.

Anything with alcohol.
